Price is brilliant. No doubt about it. Would we be this high in the standings without him? No. However, let's not throw the rest of the team under the bus. SOG don't always tell the tale; we have lots of solid puck movement, strong D and fast skating. My only concerns are that Prust really hinders his line - slow, bad passes and apparently no puck awareness, and I think Therrien over uses DD. He is a 3rd or 4th liner at best. But...look where we are in the standings...

Einstein is alleged to have said that 'the definition of insanity is doing the something over and over again and expecting a different result'. With regard to our PP, Therrien is no Einstein, but he makes more money than the great scientist did. Isn't it time we tried something new?

I can be pretty negative when I want to be which is far too often in my old age (I'm 73 next week), but in what other franchise would one of the main and respected columnists begin an article "No reason to start ringing the early-season alarm bells – at least, not yet" when the team is not only first in its division, not only in its conference, but the entire league? And I'm not criticizing Mike Boone. We are all like him. Good Lord! imagine if the Toronto Maple Leafs were in this position this morning. TSN, CBC and Sportsnet would claim that the Leafs were certain to win the Cup. Plan the parade now. CBC would do a documentary narrated by Peter Mansbridge that the 2014 Leafs is the best team in the history of the NHL. There would be calls in Parliament for the Leafs to solely represent Canada at the next world event...and it wouldn't have to be hockey...Leafs would be so good they could excel in water polo. Perhaps we should smile a little that we are in first place and we still haven't played our best hockey.

Right, Eller didn't have a good game. Therrien says he didn't appreciate his effort. So he benches Eller. What about Bourque? What about PK taking stupid penalties? What about Max-Pac's lackluster effort? And Emelin? Come on. If an old lady slips and falls on St Catherine's St, MT benches Eller.

Does anyone know what Habs games can be seen in Nova Scotia via RDS this season? I can't make sense of the media explanations.

Rather surprised Max-Pac is the photo story when clearly it was Bourque's night

Essentially Mike Boone lays most of the blame on how the Habs were managed last night. And I agree. Therrien I know brought the Habs this far, which few expected, but his constant tendency to stay with the old players and bizarre line up combinations largely contributes to the state we're in.

Okay now is the time for the guys to pull it together and win for Price. Don't use his injury as an excuse.
- Comment on Bell Centre sells out for fans to watch Game 7 from Boston (2014-05-13 15:03:04)
No one has said much about Eller's goal, which I believe set the tone for the whole game. Thanks to aggressive fore-checking by his line, Boston coughed up the puck and he scored. It's this style as opposed to the "wait for them to come to us" hockey which will enable the Habs to beat the Bruins. Different topic - I have decried the HNIC bias against the Habs, but I have to admit that last night's play-by-play and intermissions were certainly acknowledging the Habs superiority at least in that game. That is until Cherry did his self-righteous Markov analysis. How can you say "Lucic, Marchand and Thornton" in one breath without saying "dirty, idiotic and arse hole"?

Losing is bad enough but losing as I watch CBC is deathly. I usually tune in to RDS although I speak no French but last night at a friend's house I was forced to endure the CBC. And we the taxpayers pay for this utter bias crap. Why not move the bloody cooperation to the US?
