I agree, give the kids a chance and it would make a very interesting to see who's on waivers after the Olympics with players being sent down. Win is a win, but I hope we win.

What do you think these lines for Team Canada? Eric Staal - Crosby - Nash Stamkos - Toews - St Louis Tavares - Thornthon - Perry Hall - Bergeron - Eberle Duchene - Richards 1st line already played together in vancouver olympics, which means they already have chemistry together and have the veteran experience that can be counted on to produce and provide leadership. 2nd line with Toews face-off skill should provide more offense with already heavy chemistry between Stamkos and St Louis 3rd line has size and skill put together and they're responsible defensive players also 4th line starts off with Bergeron skill at face-off skill and defensive game mixed with linemates who already heavy chemistry and skill, Eberle and Hall can be that surprise scoring threat in the 4th line.

Pray to hockey Gods that MB doesn't make a trade to reach 4000? Ha.. Win is a win, but I hope we win.

Habs lost size, Lappy was Habs leading hitter and O'Byrne leaving left some toughness. They're not meant to be skilled players, but effective in adding some toughness Habs were already lacking. Lapierre was 4th liner, he hit every time he saw an opportunity to hit. He may not have been the best hitter but he did gave opponents little time to think about making plays. O'Byrne was depth defensemen with size and would give opponents a second thought about going after our players..

Looking back at the PG free agent acquisitions, the players Gainey and PG signed were depth players that barely hold a NHL spot. I know, we all know how bad those bonehead moves were but I'm looking back because White signing and Big Mac going to London is not enough for hungry hockey fan of some fresh news. Boyd, Picard, Sopel, Dawes, Campoli, Nokelainen. Traded Lappy 6'2 to make room for DD, Traded O'Byrne 6'5 to make room for Weber? Yet they still talked about getting size but they kept trading for smaller size replacements...
- Comment on McCarron signs entry-level contract, off to Knights; Duffy signs with ‘Dogs (2013-07-12 01:29:43)
I've read simply enough of what has been happening the last couple of days I missed while being at the hospital. Things I wanted to say about the recent retiree Kovy2 has been already written in history and also the signing of McCarron ELC. It's all good entertaining news, but I'm still hoping for a "big" trade for involving one of our "smurf" players, because any hockey news is good news for a hockey fan. If Morrow indeed signs with Habs, I hope it's not more than 2.5m/yr deal because we all know he's not signing any big deals because of his points but what he brings to a team and just because I want Pens to give away alot for nothing this season to become reality in that Morrow trade. I think Morrow would be a good fit if Habs do make a trade a forward for a defensemen. If Habs stink, Morrow would still bring alot of good stuff in return for Habs at trade deadline...

Not choosing between anyone, just saying he might cause more trouble with 5.5m cap hit than helping our chances to score.

Myers was easily beaten by Gallagher a couple of times last season, don't know how effective he his on defensive side...Might cause more trouble for 5.5m dmen IMO

Can't be a second Gallagher, no spot for another one, Gallagher already has taken second Gallagher's spot on the roster. :P Seriously, Duffy can't even match Gallagher's point production in juniors, but I do say this, he had one great showing at the development camp. IMO

Where's the fun in that? The fun about being fans is to discuss who can Habs grab during the season and who can potential sign with Habs current needs. If Gionta will be gone, who can be our finisher? If Markov will be gone, who he be replaced with? Its just fun!! ;)
