Can't blame this one on Price, he kept them in it during the first half of the game, just an all-around lethargic performance. Not much energy, and I agree with Boone the Eller was noticable tonight, which is a good sign. Maybe its time to try him on the second line and give Gomer a good kick in the ass by bumping him down to line 3 or 4. They did it to Kovy when he was here, I don't see why Gomez would be above it.

Poor guy, of all people to keep getting screwed over-all the talent in the world, hard worker, the quiet leader...this is only going to make his pending UFA situation that much tougher for the Habs to resolve. If we re-sign him long-term and his knees are too messed for him to ever return to form, we shoot ourselves in the foot with one of those big unmovable contracts. If Gauthier walks because hes scared to commit and he does come back to form, without any letdown, then Gauthier and the Habs look like the idiots and then all hell breaks loose. Not going to be easy...

  • Comment on Game 15: Price, Canadiens shut down Canucks (2010-11-09 22:42:15)
Hugeeee win. One of those "confidence boosters". They know they can handle the big teams now, and without getting pushed around. Great game by Price, he's back and better than ever, and that's exactly what this team needs if we're going anywhere...and I love the Subban/Price triple low-five celebration, it may be subtle but its a good sign that there is a tight bond in the room, free of all the bad influences that have ruined team chemistry over the past couple of years, going back to the Theo-Breezer-Ribs clique...but I digress, Price beat Louuuuuuuuuu, all is good in the world! :D Imagine if Price had scored on the empty net?! Pandemonium would be an understatement. For the record, I've been reading this site religiously for over two years, but I never really felt like posting anything. Maybe its because I used to post on the Habs site forum, but I got turned off by it after awhile because of all the nonsense people were puting on it. But as I started reading more and more posts I realized that you are all very knowledgable fans, and I just had to get in on this. Looking forward to some great conversations with you all! http://maggshabsmusings.blogspot.com/

  • Comment on Boyd placed on waivers (2010-11-08 18:04:50)

Surprising...didn't think Boyd did anything to warrant a demotion, especially so early. Hope the trade doesn't come back to haunt us, doubt Sergei ever breaks out as the stud he was all hyped up to be. MAB time? Maybe if Boyd goes down they call up Weber to give him a chance on the PP, perhaps using him on the wing again. As little sense as that makes it seems like something Martin would try (again).
