  2009/12/03 Toronto Maple Leafs traded Jiri Tlusty to the Carolina Hurricanes for Phillippe Paradis.

  Is there anyway the Habs can get Tlusty from CAR? Jiri and Tomas seem to play very well together. Plekanec has 3A today, feeding a goal to Tlusty. They also played together during the lockout...seems like someone who can cash in on the changes that Tomas generates, something that some of our current Habs could never do. Thoughts?

  But does this read like a guy that is confident he can? “I honestly believe I can win a Stanley Cup,” he said. “I think I have the ability and the mentality to do that. In order to do that, I need to reach another level, so I’m going to have to figure out what I need to do to get to that level.” I want to stay away from this argument, but I have to say I am a little concerned that Carey only "thinks" he has what it takes but has no idea what to do to elevate his game. Maybe a new coach is the answer. When Price is on his game...he is BRILLIANT.

  I don't think those stats prove anything (you have to also consider the wingers). Just like last night, throughout these playoffs, how often has Plekanec made perfect passes, and the winger could not put the puck in the net, fanned or just missed, hit a post, or put the puck in Anderson's bread basket. Last time I checked, Plekanec and PK lead the team in points...these playoffs. Maybe he was nursing an injury, but Tomas is still an important piece to this team moving forward, more so than DD.

  This past season, PK Subban has shown me exactly what you wrote "the heartbeat of this team". I agree completely, his talent level and compete level is off the charts!

  Thank you Boone et all here at HIO, it has been a crazy hockey season and for the most part, it has been fun tagging along here. Thank you Montréal Canadiens for a great season, when everyone thought all was lost as the results of last year, they over achieved in my eyes, and I am ok with that. The management team is smart and will fill the holes. I have no doubt in my mind that this team is going to be more and more exciting to watch in the coming years. And for the love of all that is sacred to the Habs, put the frigging 'C' on Subban when Gionta is gone. That guy is the epitome of a hard working, on ice leader, with skill. WOW. Great season PK! We have some great pieces to work with and some that will be moved. And to all Habs fans, don't let the negative Nancys or the Sens army get you down today. Only 1 team can win the cup and I doubt most of you really thought they could this year. Cheers to watching the Habs this fall, but there is no rush, summer is just around the corner so don't wish it away too fast folks! GO HABS GO
