All righty... so we're back in the situation we were against the Caps: down 1-3 going into the enemies' camp.

We've done it before and all I will say is let's take it one game at a time, folks.

(Heck, this time, we can add that we were also down 0-2 ;) - but one game at a time...

    Go Habs Go.

We'll see what Gomez, Gionta, Gill, Muller et al. say in the locker room during the intermission.

For all intents and purposes, the most important period in the Habs' season is coming up.

All right folks: the bandwagon is accepting members again, feel free to join the crazy train!

honestly on the one hand it ain't a bad question... BUT

    - Price hasn't stole a game for the Habs since a Dec 2008 game against the Penguins (which was one of the bes goaltending performances by anyone I've ever seen)

    - Halak has won MANY games this year!

Also, it's one thing to play Price in a Game 2 scenario where if they lose it's still feasible for Halak to come back and deliver the goods... but if Habs lose tonight and Price (were he to start) loses as well in Game 3... what good would that do?

Honestly, I love both goalies and if I thought Price could steal a game I'd play him... but tonight we played really well and simply didn't score.

Like... HELLO?  That's our problem: we're not scoring.

Again (I am saying this in jest) but to all the geniuses who said "bring on the Flyers" are you happy now?  Clearly the Bruins were on decline and the Flyers were rising... ultimately, this isn't about our goaltending as much as it is about Leighton wanting to prove himself (the way Halak wanted to prove himself) and the Flyers scoring whereas we're not.

BUT - people, this all being said, a victory back in Montreal and we're back in it.

Just show some class folks.  I used to cover the Expos for Team 990 and was appalled with how much those fans stuck with the team compared to how Habs "fans" were - shall I say - "flaky".

    We're proving that now.

    Go Habs Go.

I'm not going to win anyone over with this comment or make friends, but man CANADIENS "FANS" SUCK.

    Greatest fans?  Prove it people!

We win a game and we get over-confident and expect a sweep.  We lose one (or 2 ;) and "it's over and we suck".

Flyers fans put up with 3 losses against the Bruins and kept the faith and look at them now.

Seriously people.  We're playing well, Flyers are getting the breaks.

Keep the faith.  We still have a chance tonight and even if we return 0-2 to Montreal the series ain't over.

Question to 0-3To4-3, assuming you're from Philly.

What is the general hierarchy of the pro sports leagues in Philadelphia?

    - Sixers
    - Flyers
    - Phillies
    - Eagles

I presume Flyers are 4th just due to where hockey sits in the general list of interests in US cities.

Always curious about things like that in each city.

Hopefully this will just introduce reality to those who thought this series would be easier/easy.

But - this is a repeat of the first game against the Pens:

    - lack of discipline

    - opposing team using size

    - Halak not playing out of this world but not exactly any of it being his fault.

We just need to adjust and show discipline.  As the cliche goes: let's aim to come back to Montreal the way we did after Game 2 of the last series.

And people, either get on the bandwagon and stay on it or don't bother getting on at all!

    Go Habs Go.

  • Comment on Markov out for this series: report (2010-05-16 12:36:15)

Does anyone know if CBC.ca will be streaming the games?  And if so, if they will be available from the US?

NHL has a blackout due to the "national broadcast" (Versus)...

I like Price so this isn't a comment on Price as much as the irony of NHL goaltending career paths, but pretty strange that Huet and Price will be on the bench while Leighton (former Hab) takes on Halak in the Eastern Finals.

Also, do we all agree Julien is fired?  He'll land somewhere soon, which means one less team trying to court G. Boucher, I guess.

    Go Habs Go.

Thank God no more Umberger on the Flyers!
