We have to go with the line up that won us game 2. If Patches and Gio are injured they shouldn't be playing. You have to go with Price, but if they lose the next game then I'd start Budz. Huge loss, time to regroup and prepare for the next one.

I honestly don't think Price will last if they have a slump like this next year. I could see him asking for a trade. As even keel as he is, the media and fan scrutiny has to affect you and get to you. Brodeur talks about it any time he talks about Price, Marty said "to be as young and good as he is and then to be playing in the toughest market in the NHL, you have to give him props." I actually think it would benefit him to be out of this market. When a team fails year after year to address there defensive woes, it really is beyond me. As much as this team has played within a team system its really only masked our biggest problem.

Believe it or not I saw some fight out of Pricey tonight. He made some nice saves in the third. I also loved how he handled the puck tonight, its all about the positives right now for him. Goalies are creatures of habit and he got better as the game went along. Honestly its just about him getting more confident these last six games, win or lose. Also, Budz should of been left in tonight, I don't like Therrien putting in Pricey cold, especially when he hasn't prepared himself to play. That first goal on him tonight was due to his legs not being stretched properly, thats why he dove hap-hazardly. Anyway I saw some positives amongst all the negatives.

I know the last two games have been hard but we have to be honest with ourselves and this team. This is the first season we've had a healthy Markov in what two years. Why wouldn't stamina be an issue for him right now? Patches has been average at best this season, for a big guy to play so small is beyond me. Will the real Gorges, Moen, Gionta and Desharnais please stand up! I haven't seen them step up this at all. Desharnais has been good in the shootouts but during regulation he is invisible. Plekanec has been so inconsistent. I just shake my head! White has played his last game. What we need is Colby back, he's a good leader and brings a style of play sorely missed right now. If he isn't available play Blunden. Same goes for Prust we need him back playing smash mouth hockey. These guys are what put us back on track this year. We are currently playing the way we did last year at this time. No confidence, shots all coming from the outside and being man handled by the opposition. Pricey is clearly in a full on slump, hope he and the coaching staff can get him out of it before the playoffs. All goalies go through them in the course of a season. Mr. Bergevin we need some tough stay at home defenceman for next year. Two would be good. The Cube and Drewskie clearly aren't the answer. I've seen too many times this year players taking runs at Pricey and Budz. We've tried Tinordi and Beaulieu and they have been inconsistent but sh*t or get off the pot with them. Either play them or send them down. We gave Gally and Chuckie the opportunity why not give them a shot. At least I can wrap my head around them playing night in and night out, playing some of these weak veteran defencemen and not making any legit moves at the deadline sends the wrong message to the team. Sorry, Douglas Murray is a style of defenceman we need. Any who, go Habs go! Be strong Boston!

The system Therrien brought with him this year is the reason Price is seeing so few shots. Its good that the team is playing great defence but it doesn't allow Price to get into a groove either. Tonight Price didn't have a chance on the goals. Price also saved our bacon tonight on a number of chances. I've played goalie long enough to know that. The team is playing perimeter hockey again and not going to the net. We are also brutal at faceoffs and Halpern will be a great addition in that department. Regroup boys we have two big games coming up. Go Habs Go!
  • Comment on Armstrong: "We dug ourselves a hole" (Video)
What game were you watching? Ott was left alone in the slot on the first goal and on the second goal it was a tipped shot. We had so many shots miss the net tonight. After the first period, honestly I was very surprised the score wasn't higher. Aside from Gally the team was brutal. Getting a point tonight was robbery on our part.

For two periods we played solid hockey. The third period we sat back and let them come at us. For the entire period I thought we were in a time warp and Jacque Martin was the coach again. WTF! Thankfully Carey kept us in it. Oh and by the way those goals aren't on him, I don't know what game some people were watching. Where is Hall Gill when you need him. The Cube and Emelin were brutal tonight. Aside from solid hits Emelin isn't useful. Maybe its just me. The Cube is just aweful there is no other way to describe him.
