Yes, we need to get bigger to compete for the Cup. The future is not DD, Briere, Boullion and the likes. Get big or get lost. Normally I would hope for 7 games but I was getting sick of Glenn Healy's comments which were mostly cheerleading for his former Rangers team (where he warmed the bench) similar to the BS we llsten to all season where he felates his Laffs (another bench warming team). He is a bag blowing, skirt wearing, hagis eating heathen and hopefully Sportsnet won't get sucked in to have him continue next season.

It would appear that Parros is done in Montreal, however, we still need a tough guy as Prust is too injury prone and other teams goons will target him......who is available in that department

Hmmmmm...what to do? Would like to see the following players NOT in our line up next year; Briere, Gionta, Boullion, Moen Would consider trading the following; Pleks, Gorges, DD Parros needs to go but we need a "real" tough guy to replace him given we play Toronto and Boston often Too many small players on one team and they got worn down, must be addressed this year. Markov sign for 1 or max 2 yrs at reduced salary

Disappointed to see us acting like the Bruins, running at players and trying to start a fight. Prust should know better and deserves to sit next game. Our little guys have disappeared..........Boy can the Rangers skate, guess we better try that on Monday or the boys will be golfing with Lucic sooner than they hoped. Vanek...is he worth $8Mil....I think not.

Well said, the frustration of the HNIC crew is obvious. While both McaLean and Cherry have been given their 2 year notice it does not give them the greem light to express bigoted hate inspired comments on air. Time for MacLean to "man up" and resign. Failing that the public broadcaster should "man up' and fire him.

This team is mismanaged...........I have been generally critical of MT and Briere, then I ask myself how did they even get here???????? Well the buck stops with the GM and to this point after almost 2 seasons he has failed. Yes, I still want MT gone and the sooner the better but now I feel MB doesn't have the keen hockey sense to build a championship team. Clearly Patrick was a better choice for coach but perhaps MB would have been threatened by him. While I can appreciate the "press" boys would like to see an all Qubec player and managememnt team those days will not happen....it's called the "fair" draft leaving MB to pick up aging former star players who are cleraly past their prime. The only way to contend is to hire/select the best hockey people/players available. Until we do that we will get more of what we are seeing tonight.
- Comment on Habs get day off after loss to Bruins (2014-03-14 08:16:33)
Last week I made some less than complimentary comments concerning our Habs (just after the Western road trip). Basically I said they sucked and were just party boys out there and don't really care enough. Many posts said thats what happens when East teams go out West. I said I would recant my words if the Laffs did the same as us!!!!!!!!!!! Well.....my observations are unchanged, the Laffs are better coached (by a mile), the Laffs are younger, the Laffs are tougher, the Laffs out skate us, the Laffs out work us and most importantly they want to win more than we do. At this rate if we face them in the 1st round I find it hard to think we will win a game. It all starts at the top with MB afraid to select the best coach and go with a secondary selection to keep the press at bay. Then his great signing of Briere, again to keep the press excited. I could go on naming all the other players that would not survive on any challenging team and a lot of it has to do with lack of effort, just putting in the time and collecting a pay cheque. The question now becomes do we want to keep the press happy or do we want to make a serious attempt to win a Stanley Cup.

Poor coaching decision to go with a small line up...it's like Men against Boys! Our small guys can't get near the net. We're going nowhere thsi year and next year I hope we don't have MT, Briere, DD, Gionta and Boullion.

Disappointing western road swing. Quite frankly the team sucked, too much party, too much fun, too much time off, poor excuse for a coach. I will eat those words if the Laffs suffer the same fate on their western swing now underway. Let's see who wants it more!!

While I really like Markov we must look at any serious offers for him. He is at his highest value right now; we are not a contending team; he will not be part of a Habs Cup; his injury record and his age. It would have to be a "knock your socks off" deal to make the trade but you never know what's brewing in those GM's heads.
