I touched that you remember. And I have enjoyed my visits. Its more fun when my team wins, but tonight has been great. Can't promise to join you Monday, win or lose, since I will be on a business trip in Philly.
Best of luck to the Habs, may the best team win. As I've said before, if you beat us, you are obligated to beat the Penguins.

Canada was, but you are right about Ontario. I meant Quebec and Nova Scotia. But the whole area was referred to as Canada even then.

I said that. July, 1776. Notice I didn't say July 4. The vote was taken on July 2, formalized on July 4, most of the delegates signed sometime in August. The traditional celebration being on July 4 doesn't make us retarded. You do know that Jesus wasn't born on December 25, nor was he resurrected on Easter Sunday, right? Holidays quite frequently don't fall on the exact anniversary.
My joke was that the Congress was hoping that Canada would join. Some history books generalize and say "Canada", others specify that Ontario and Nova Scotia were the ones invited. I don't know which is true. In any event, the invitation was declined, so you will not be permitted to vote against (or for) Barack Obama in 2012.
And your favorite hockey team will be playing golf by this time next week.

LOL, that is great! I agree with 100% of what you said, except for the recommendations on classes to take. Everything else you are saying is true.
My undergrad major was accounting, my Masters Degree is in Taxation, I am a CPA (what you would call a Chartered Accountant), and I could go on all night and not sum up the problem any better than you did when you said the US is going "down the proverbial toilet." Sad, but true.
Doesn't change the fact that a week from now, I will be discussing hockey at http://www.broadstreethockey.com/, and you won't.

No, it was 1775 when Canada was invited to the Second Continental Congress. The Declaration of Independence was adopted in July 1776. I don't blame your school system for not teaching such an obscure fact, because ours doesn't teach all that well either. But you shouldn't be snarky unless you are sure you are right. And I was referring to the Economy and Population of California, both of which are, in fact, larger than that of Canada.
