Its too early to get excited over the Habs record although I sure hope it keeps on going this way.  It is a diffeent habs team and game this year. The overall team D effort is better with great transition.  But things can go south in a hurry, just last week or so the leafs were 4-0.

It would be interesting to know who the GMs were for those drafts...anyone?

  • Comment on AUDIO UPDATE: Halak to Blues for 2 prospects

Habs hand may have been forced if they received offer sheets thay couldn't match.

Its defence and goaltending that win the big games. Habs just traded away goaltending for suspect offence.

  • Comment on Hawks hold serve

There is no question as to who  will be in nets on Wednesday.   Boucher didn't do too well after Leighton left and Leighton has a tendency to bounce back with outstanding games after doing poorly. "You have to dance with the one who brung ya"....Leighton is the one, no question.

  • Comment on Forget Markov in the playoffs

It would make more sense to trade Halak to Edmonton for their first draft pick.  That way Habs get the forward they need and it solves Edmonton's goaltending problems for good.  It also keeps Halak out of our division.  The Habs cap can afford a first round rookie better that the $5M that Halak will be looking for.  Its a win for Edmonton and a win for Habs.
