- Comment on Hossa, a Penguin, slips through Habs grasp (2008-02-26 23:20:41)
Throwing in the towel? This is of course much like what people said about the Bulldogs allowing Price to play last year. Why does Price have to lead them to the cup this year? If playoff experience this year leads to the cup next year or results in a cup in any subsequent year, I will be happy. Of course, I'll still be a Canadiens fan either way. Is it really any surprise that the same analysts and fans that doubted this team at the beginning of the season thought the Habs needed to dump a ton of talented youth to bring in a superstar/playoff dud so far? John Ferguson Jr. says the Habs are the deadline losers. The man who built a horrible franchise thinks Mr. Gainey made a mistake. Interesting. I'm not convinced that it is bad thing to go against what JFJ thinks. Of course, it is no secret that I'm a "baby Price lover" as you put it. I'm certainly not jumping for joy at seeing Huet go, but this is a result of this team building from within...too many NHL caliber goaltenders in the system. The future continues to look bright. A draft pick allows this positive cycle to continue even if it doesn't feel good tonight knowing a player who brought a lot of excitement to our lives won't be wearing the CH anymore. That's the nature of the NHL these days in my eyes. Then again as you pointed out, what do I know? - Rich B Blind Sheep #2342

Yes, I also missed this cocky statement. Please fill us in those of you who read the alleged statement.
- Comment on O’Byrne, Kostopoulos arrested in Tampa (2008-02-11 11:58:03)
I agree. I think it is very plausible that a professional athlete might forget the name of a girl at a bar or his girlfriend for the evening.

Thanks for removing the rating system I/O. I'm sure some like as much as others dislike it, but we are all Habs fans here. Sorry if there have been a number of posts on this issue.

Parise has also played two full seasons in the NHL. Kostitsyn has not had that luxury. Give him time at this level, he has played 55 total NHL games. 55 is less than Parise played in his rookie season. I would assume Kostitsyn's numbers at the end of the season will be comparable to Parise's numbers in his first full season.
- Comment on Huet gets start tomorrow vs. Islanders (2007-11-20 19:42:29)
By the end of the season everyone will be praising Price. I just think he is farther along in his development than the rest of you. I have written in much greater detail than simply comparing records (although, it is interesting to note that Plek-Andrew, one of those debating me, used Luongo's record as proof that he is the best earlier in this thread) in previous posts, but I won't bother to repeat myself. The proof will be in play of the respective goaltenders.

Also, one might get the impression that you compared Price to Racicot. You must be on something a lot harder than marijuana.

Who said Huet "malo?" Read posto before replyo.

To the comment above my last, I believe goaltending is our biggest concern. This team is not built around goal scoring superstars. We need our goaltenders to save us.

Krob 1000: Three of the goals against Buffalo, if you watched were weak. Rebounds, that Price would not have given up, or simply weak shots. Plek-Andrew: Sorry, that some of us have to work in between Habs games. I frankly don't care for your challenge, because as I stated, I like Christobal. I have no desire to slander him in such a manner. I will though call him out if I don't think he is playing as well as he can. Both of you: Check the records 6-5-2/5-1-1. If you don't think Price has proven anything he hasn't been given enough of a chance to do so. Price is the reason MTL is where they are in the standings. They wouldn't be if they were only one game above .500. I don't dislike Huet, but this season he has not been All-Star material.
