Yeah, very true ... it's one thing for us fans to do that, but from professional hockey players I really expected better.

It was a nice run while it lasted but I can't help thinking that this was a big wasted opportunity. Seriously, how often do we get the chance to have home ice advantage in the conference finals with a chance to make the SCF where we would also likely have home ice? Not very often, that's for sure. This Rangers team was strong but they were very much beatable, unlike the Flyers team in 2010 that were way too strong for our team back then. We never had a chance against the Flyers but with the Rangers an OT goal the other way, a crossbar that deflected into the goal rather than outside or an injury could very well have made the difference between making the finals or going golfing.

> Price getting injured WAS a huge, huge deal. Agreed but goaltending was not our problem today ... Our veterans have been no-shows too many times this series, there is only so much a goalie can do to keep the team's chances alive ... Even with Price, we would still need to score at least one goal in order to win.

I didn't feel as bad back in 2010 since we were simply no match for the Flyers ... This time though, both teams were pretty much at the same level. Who knows how long we have to wait until we have another chance to reach the finals with home ice and a relatively weak opponent such as the Rangers?

The no-show in game 1 was simply inexcusable! I know we were all glad to knock out the Bruins, but the boys were supposed to be professionals who are being paid millions and who should have no trouble being motivated for the conference finals.

> I look forward to the Rangers getting steamrolled by the Kings. Let's not go there, buddy! I thought it was pretty lame when the Bruins fans came to our forums to proclaim that we would lose next round and it's just as lame when we make the same statements about the Rags simply because we could not beat them. Personally, I couldn't care less who fins the Cup now that we are out ... There is no reason to root for the team from the West just because we were incapable to beat the Rangers despite being the favorites and having home ice. If we want revenge on the Rangers we gotta do it ourselves, watching the Kings beat them doesn't quite cut it.

> Price can’t score goals. He can't score (although he does get the occasional assist) ... You can't fault Toker today for letting 1goal in considering all the shots he had to put up with but Price may have very well made a difference in one of our previous L's in games 2 and 4. If you want to blame someone for this premature golfing ticket, blame the whole team for the no-show in game 1, that was simply inexcusable for game 1 of the conference finals.

You just know that today is one of those days where our boys will show up and deliver. You just know that they will deliver a near-fearless performance and nothing less will suffice to withstand the pressure that the Rangers will undoubted have in store for us. GHG!

Let's not get carried away ... First we need to take care of the Rangers, one game at a time!
