Got to love Gorges sticking up for the team. Future captain once Gionta gets shipped out of town.

I get a warm fuzzy feeling inside seeing a team just as bad as the Habs on the ice. If this was any other team, Habs would be in a big hole.

Any good businessman will ensure they have the best people running their day to day operations to maximize profit and success. I don't see this with Molson. He seems to be relying too much on the wrong people. He needs to scrap the entire hockey operations team and get the proper staff in the organization at all levels. This is assuming he has people on the outside who can advise him who to put in place. Remember his comments about Martin and Gauthier? He had full confidence in both of them! Then a while later Martin is fired. This sound like someone who is either blowing smoke or has lost control of their organization. Canadians may have not lost money in recent memory, but if they continue this way , there will be no return on investment. Fans will not continue to fill the bell center with higher annual ticket prices. Parents will not be buying souvenirs, concessions will also suffer. The wave of success the Canadians organization has been riding from a financial perspective may crash into the rocks really soon.

I really hope Diaz is not being shopped. These are the typical Gainey/Gauthier style moves that have been killing us for the last decade. Hopefully Molson is on the final stages of hiring his new management team. This duo needs to be canned pronto. They cannot be allowed to make any more hockey decisions with this team, especially with trade deadline mere weeks away. We need a fresh perspective, new ideas, and a new vision. I don't care about language, politics, or anything aside from good solid hockey sense. If I were Molson and the other investors, I'd be really concerned with my 500 million dollar investment. Friendship is like peeing on yourself: everyone can see it, but only you get the warm feeling that it brings.
