For all of you counting on Emelin for next year you might want to consider: 1- he requires surgery 2- It is not yet scheduled because the knee is still inflamed 3- It is a minimum 6 month recovery MINIMUM 4- He will most likely miss AT LEAST 1/2 of the season. So you better have a back up plan for October thru January

So if Montreal loses the series and Price's GAA is 2.00 and save % is .920 does he get run out of town

Not to get to far ahead of ourselves but I can see Montreal in the conference finals and even the cup FINALS. PIT over NYI, MTL over OTT, NYR over WASH and TO over BOS. Then PIT over NYR and Mtl over Toronto. It is going to take SOLID goaltending hard work and discipline.

Just finished reading Stu Cowan's piece on Savard and I take exception to Savard implying that Price does not try “You remember (Ken) Dryden and Patrick (Roy) … if I look at those two I don’t recall Patrick having a night that he didn’t try. Some nights he maybe let in a couple of tough goals, but very, very, very seldom. But he always tried What a ridiculous statement. Has Price been at the top of his game? NOT by a longshot but to imply he has not been trying is nuts. Can Carey turn it around HOPE SO but remember St-Patrick lost his 5 last regular season starts in '93 and the teams record for the last 7 games was 2-5-0. Sound familiar Like the DODGERS "Wait till next year"

Just a few random thoughts Since Colby Armstrong got hurt Montreal is 4-6-0 . Last night on "OFF THE RECORD" Marty Turco when asked if he had a choice who would he pick to start the series? Price? Reimer? or Anderson? without hesitating he said Price.

To Mike Boone Mike I would like to say I am dissapointed in you. You are a journalist and a good one, with an excellent command of the English language. Yet twice in the article above you drop the F bomb. No you did not spell it out you used acronyms both times, yes we get upset but there is no excuse. I am sure there are some young readers here and I object for their sake.

Last night before the game they showed Colby Armstong in street clothes patting Alex G on the back and giving words of encouragement before the game against Washington. Like you said there is leadership this year.

It must be true!!!! Last night on BOTH Toronto sport shows :Hockey Central AND Hockey tonight they say that P.K. AND Gallagher are the leading candidates for the Norris and Calder. In fact Craig Button says that the Norris should go to Subban period.
