- Comment on Habs’ rookie camp wraps up as Scherbak gets in scrimmage (2014-09-17 13:08:24)
Now that chucky looks to be the third line centre, and the fact that he (pleks) wasn't chosen to wear the "C" which was the safest easiest pick, his days here are numbered. If not dealt in the off season coming up, he will be gone by next years dealine. Eller is going to have to give way for chucky to play centre and play on his wing in the third line spot with bourque. Here's how I've got it. Sekac/Pleks/P.A. Patch/DD/Gally Eller/Chucky/Bourque Prust/Manny/Weezy Bernie and Moen = extra's Would love to see de la rose or andrighetto (spelling) make some noise as well, but hard to find a spot for them. Marky/P.K. Emelin/Gilbert Weaver/Beaulieu Tinordi/Pateryn battling out for the 7th spot, although if they don't do the job at camp, I could see MB signing frankie as the 7th and letting tinned and pateryn get more ice in hamilton Price and tokarski Budaj goes on waivers, doesn't get picked up and plays in hamilton to start. Got that same information yesterday from cogeco and I'm down here in Windsor. He switched me to the "FRANCO" package that includes TVA sportsHD and RDS HD which will cover every other game that isn't on the national scene. It was listed for 20 bucks but he was giving it to me for 10 bucks. I'll keep my fingers crossed, as I too explained to him the blackout situation for us here in southern ontario, but he again reassured me that everything will be okay, as did his boss. The last point of confusion with this new announcement is that it needs to be explained that this 60 buck package is only available with rogers tv, not bell or cogeco or shaw. Shaker out

I was on Live Chat with bell and I asked them this: "From October of 2014 to May 2015, about 2400 or so NHL games will be at my finger tips for a one time payment of 50 bucks plus tax, PERIOD"? answer: "Yes, certainly". Shaker out!

Looks like to me the only way you can get the other 40 games for 60 bucks is if you are with rogers. Bell/shaw/cogeco = NO GO. Centre Ice for 200 bucks still looks like the only answer. I'll keep my fingers crossed about my conversation with cogeco yesterday and how "Ontario habs fans" won't be subject to the blackouts on TVA sports or RDS. Shaker out!

I called cogeco yesterday down here in Windsor Ontario and was asking for a deal on centre ice. I said I only needed centre ice and not the other 5 sports that come along with it to see if I could get it cheaper than 32 bucks a month. I said I used to just use RDS for the habs games but now need centre ice since the changes have been made. He mentioned to me that all I need is this "FRANCO" package that includes TVA SPORTS HD and RDS HD plus all the other channels that I already have and that will get me all the games without paying big bucks for centre ice. I tried to explain to him that anyone west of belleville will be blacked out and centre ice is the only remedy for that problem. He assured me as well as his boss as they received a memo back in the middle of august that stated something along the lines of "fans in ontario are assured of no blackouts on TVA sports and RDS". I was a bit skeptical but went with it. He said check back in October if it's not working and we will see what we can do. So, I'm hoping it will work but don't think it will. Also it looks like this new deal for habs fans is only available with rogers tv. I'll have to call cogeco again to see if they have access to this deal as well. Shaker out!

It must be different in Ontario because they are telling me 4 payments of 51 bucks for centre ice. Shaker out!

Sadly I feel your pain, but can't go without the habs. I'll have to try and sell some the kids things to offset the added cost. 7 bucks a month for RDS jumping to 34 bucks for centre ice, another 350 bucks for the habs/wings game in november......man it's expensive to be a habs fan, and I'm not even going to the summit!
