Agree 100% M.R. He's fluent en francais aussi... too bad RDS aren't what they were or he'd be getting additional fun tickets in endorsements His acquisition ranks up there with Stephane Waite and Rick Dudley and I expect he has his good eye on an assistant coach gig. Bergevin is on his way to Sam Pollack status. Just need to keep building and the cups will come Proudly serving CHryptonite since 63

Good statement game for Weise. Really fired up Eller and Bourque. They were so effective in the playoffs together and appear to have picked up where they left off before MT's latest experiment fizzled. Malhotra for early season MVP. Just dynamite the way he leads by example. Proudly serving CHryptonite since 63

Thanks Ian, but I believe I'm firmly in the center and independent ;-) Gonna try and make the festivities on Friday... Can't afford Saturday this year :( Proudly serving CHryptonite since 63

I watch for it every time. Very predictable yet almost impossible to defend. It's his signature move. The defender is trying to poke check the puck but Plecky keeps it out of his reach while barreling right at him and even in super slow mo, you can't see his quick release. A thing of tactical beauty executed to perfection. Glad I can watch it from my sofa as most in the crowd don't get to see it before he scores or rings it off the low post. He always shoots it low and aims to put it in off the metal too. Very calculated. Proudly serving CHryptonite since 63

As impressive as Chucky and PK's goals were, it must be noted how skilled and stealthy Plecky's short handed try off the metal was. I watched it in slow mo over and over and it's eerily similar to a low running punch shot in golf where you play the ball back in your stance and take a short backswing and hit down on the ball when you're well back from the green with low branches in front and you need to scoot it up there 150-180 yds. Next time you see him one on one on the PK and he gets position in front of the D, you'll see he uses the hapless Dman as a screen (to perfection last night) and skates fast towards him while letting the puck drift back behind his own feet. Then with the skill of Phil the Thrill, he unloads a blinding quick short slapper that takes off low and catches both the defender and screened goalie off guard (Welcome to the NHL Pickard) He's been doing it for years (I remember him scoring this way in the playoffs a few times a few years back) Plecky is the most underrated NHL'r there is! • Comment on Game Within the Game: Bruins’ Lucic fined $5,000 by NHL (2014-10-17 13:03:57)
"But the physical aspect of his game — the net-side scrums, the taunting, the hits — seem to be missing from his game. Lucic is at his best, the rivalry between the Habs and Bruins is at its best, when he plays mean, punishing hockey." Seeing as how he has never tried to make amends for his childish behaviour in the line after game 7, he's set himself up to be under intense scrutiny and possible off the rink (and out of the country) assault charges for uttering threats and then following up on them. I believe the Bruins lawyers and management have made it clear to him that they won't back him if he won't back off the silliness out of jurisdiction. We have launched police investigations for similar revenge antics in recent memory. Patches little overtime goal winning shove into Chara's back resulted in his near death a few months later... All of which is perfect for our side as Lurch's ego is his biggest nemesis and we can play him like the fiddle that he is and knock him off his game both literally and figuratively. Great open ice hit Emmy! Lucy simply cannot compete so far from the edge. He either plays like a bee-yotch or like an animal. Fun to poke this DBag wearing a Bear suit. Expect it to continue

Lucic won't be that stupid. That would be Bertuzzi stupid. His agent and the teams lawyers will read him the riot act and explain to him that he'll be hung out to dry on his own in criminal and civil court if he does anything stupid. Likely the Habs will also do nothing to goad him. Time for everyone to grow up.
