Cool, Thanks! I'll have to find another starter. In Price we Trust

Pretty sure Price is starting tonight. Does anyone know if he'll play today and tomorrow, or will Tokarski get the nod on Saturday night at the Bell centre? I have an empty goalie spot in my hockey pool on Saturday, and wouldn't mind cherry picking a game against Buffalo. In Price we Trust

Agreed. I see him as a 3rd line player at best. Would like him just a little meaner, but he's definitely got a bit of offensive upside, and shows good leadership qualities. In Price we Trust

Hab Fan in Halifax here. I watched lots of Mooseheads games this past year and got to see a lot of Fournier. While I like his size, you have to remember he was a 20 year old playing with mostly 17-19 year olds. All his fights (6 in reg season) where with guys 20 - 30 lbs lighter than him. Not his fault, there aren't that many 210 lbs players in the Q. He did show great leadership in keeping the Moose rolling while the big guns were off at the WJC, (they went 8-2 i think) and rotated captaincy with Trey Lewis. He definitely deserves a look, but don't expect dominant power forward numbers from a guy who was an over age player on a great team in the Q last year. In Price we Trust

I'm also unsure, but I'll let it slide. I'm in too much pain to dish any out.. In Price we Trust

Gionta logs on, reads your rants: "hmm I"m not scoring enough, maybe I should score more". Patch reads you rant: "Hmm, don't want to end up like Gomer, time to pot one". Therrien reads your posts: "I guess I should tell the guys to try to beat the other teams in the division, this guy has a point!" Nice work.... In Price we Trust

I hear ya. And largely agree. Prust would have to play a diminished role. However I think that's the point. I honestly don't know what kind of minutes he used to play for the Rangers, but I would guess it's not the 18 he's been playing the MTL. He could probably stand to play a few less minutes given the intensity of his play, and the condensed schedule. I wouldn't mind Armstrong out of the line up, and these days, it seems Moen isn't competing. As for why we kept Galchenyuk and the possibility of him seeing a few nights in the press box, I don't think anyone envisioned the Habs competing for first in the NE or the Conference. Expectations have shifted (whether we want them to or not), and I assume they will want to capitalize on their situation. I anticipate a rebuttal involving the mismanagement of young players development, and I agree. Just trying to make the best of a GOOD situation. You may be right in terms of the asking price getting driven up. If the asking price jeopardizes the future, no deal. Any thoughts on who would land Clowe if we were not potential suitors? Anyone but Boston!! In Price we Trust

Any thoughts on making a move for Ryan Clowe? He's one of those rare guys who can play up and down the line up, score 15 - 20 goals, and fight. I feel it would reduce the strain on Prust. I know he's not scoring this year, but that seems to be an anomaly, and perhaps the asking price would be a bit lower. He has 268 points in 417 games, including 101 goals. He's a UFA and likely to get 3-4 mill per year. With the Sharks only having 13 players under contract next year and just over 10 mill in cap space, they're going to be hard pressed to resign him unless they clear cap space. I'm thinking Weber and 2nd? They're probably looking for a forward since they have 5 D signed for next year, so perhaps someone like Bournival or Avstin and a 2nd? I don't like the thought of giving up Bournival, and Avstin may never make the NHL. Not sure what we would need to give up. Just throwing it out there for discussion. Given SJ's cap situation, i wouldn't be surprised if Clowe got moved. I just hope he doesn't end up in Boston... Someone has to make sure the Boooruins don't get him! Thoughts? In Price we Trust

Don't forget, Markov is aces in shoot outs. That backhand 5 hole move works all the time. Gionta would normally be in shoot outs as well. With them in the lineup, you have to think we'd be .500 or better in shoot outs, instead of 4 - 8. That's another few points. That said, lets say it all together now: FAIL FOR NAIL! In Price we Trust

Nice post! I'm tired of reading about all the players we could have gotten instead of AK46. Nice to see some positives regarding some home grown talent. Hopefully LL, Tinordi, Gallagher, Beaulieu all pan out as well. I still get a pit in my stomach every time someone mentions how well McDonagh is developing. In Price we Trust
