- Comment on Therrien shuffles lines; Budaj will face Sabres with new contract
Not trying to start a Price bashing session as I am a big supporter and was thrilled when we dealt Halak but I would like to bring up a comparison with one of his Vezina competitor. Sergei Bobrovsky (will be the leading contender if Columbus makes the playoffs) 29 GS 14 W 10 L 6 OTL GAA: 2.05 SP: .930 Columbus has a GD of -9 as a team and have sored a total of 95 goals this year. In comparison Price has 32 GS 19 W 8 L 4 OTL GAA: 2.28 SP: .915 Habs have a GD of +28 and have ascored a total of 122 goals this year. When comparing these stats, would it be reasonable to expect that Carey should be somewhat closer to Bobrovsky in GAA and SP considering that Columbus is an inferior team to Montreal in pretty much all categories? Why does Bobrovsky consistently have a higher SP and GAA to Price? Is it fair to expect that Price should perhaps be in the top 5 or 10 in both GAA and SP considering the team he plays for, his talent level and perhaps unfairly, his salary? Price does have quite the goaltending pedigree going for him but I still do not trust him as a clutch performer yet and I truly hope that he proves all his doubters wrong with a strong performance in the upcoming playoffs. - Comment on Sunday a day of rest for Habs; Beaulieu recalled from Bulldogs
I think they went with Beaulieu because Diaz is not coming back until later in the month and Drewiske = Tinordi in playing style so he is redundant in the short term. Beaulieu has that offensive skillset for the PP that Tinordi does not bring to the table. They will both be pillars on the Habs back end for the next decade at least. Can't wait to see Beaulieu and Tinordi both put on another 10+ pounds of muscle in the off season a la Subban/Eller. - Comment on Sunday a day of rest for Habs; Beaulieu recalled from Bulldogs
I worked for FedEx in Dubai from 93 to 98 and had a great time. My parents used to send me the hockey news and La Presse and Journal de Montreal twice a month to keep my hockey fix going. The internet in those days was not what it is today that's for sure. Isn't this a great time to be a Habs fan? No 3 in the league and a boatload of decent prospects and 6 picks in the top 90 in the upcoming draft which is considered a deep one. In MB we trust. - Comment on Plekanec's advice to Galchenyuk: Don't buy into the hype

Good read from Elliotte Friedman. http://www.cbc.ca/sports/hockey/opin...questions.html If they do go ahead with decertification I guess E Cole will still spin the protect the future generations mantra. NHLPA= greed and hypocrisy. - Comment on NHL cancels more games and All-Star Weekend
Commandant, I've been reading your posts thoughout this lockout and I can't help but feel that you are acting as an NHLPA shill. Hope I'm wrong. - Comment on HIO at practice
I believe that in early January Mr. Gauthier said the following about Mr. Markov: "He is doing well and his rehab is progressing. I wouldn't expect him to play before the All-Star break. His procedure in December was just an arthroscopic surgery to clean up debris from a previous surgery and remove some scar tissue." We have not heard or seen that Markov is even skating and still no feedback from management. That is unnaceptable and bush league. Where is the accountability to the paying public. Just come out with it already if his season is toast or if he's suffered another setback.
