Not sure what to think about the AK trade. When he is on, he is a beast. Unfortunately, he was a dog too often. Tough to always blame the coach as he has been through 3 or 4 in his time in Montreal. I do worry that he will become a consistent 25 to 30 goal guy. I doubt it though. I don't understand the sending down of Leblanc. So Gomez can get his ice time? The Habs better clean house at the end of this season. I have trust in Timmins. He drafts well, the organisation does a horrible job of developing. I say sit Gomez and Kaberle and play as many young guys as possible. Sign the college guys and play them when their NCAA season is over. Draft some bigger skilled guys if Nail is already gone.

They weren't ready to play. Wonder if they were looking past the Canes towards Boston. Games like this are why they are in the position they are in. How many games have they lost to fellow bottom feeding teams this year? Kaberle! WTF! Just awful. Eller is a beast! He is only going to get better. What happened to Gomez and Kostitsyn? Were they injured or just sucking? Onto the Bruins. Better be ready or it will be ugly

Molson is going to have to spend a lot of money to improve this sad lot. Buyouts or send guys to Hamilton. Sad state of affairs. Hopefully Timmins can find some gems in the draft. Trade the UFA's and fill up on as many draft picks as they can. I know they won't get much for the UFA's but it beats nothing which is what Gainey 3 years ago when he let all 11 UFA's go for zip. Need to find some larger guys who play in a bad mood. Not goons but guys like Corson, Lemieux, Ludwig and Chelios. Easier said than done. Send all of the management team packing except Timmins. Gotta find someone who will get the boys to play with some emotion.

Emelin must play. Weber, I wouldn't cry if they traded him. They have too many of the same size, same skill set type of players on the team. We can't keep them all and expect to compete with the bigger teams. Do we keep Weber and ditch Diaz or vice-versa? Campoli ? He is no allstar. The same issue exists up front. Lots of small shifty guys. The two best forwards right now are Pacioretty and Cole. They are not small and shifty. Gomez, Gionta and Cammalerri are all small and shifty and struggling. What to do? That Gomez for Stajan and Bourque trade sounds crazy but who know what could happen. Bourque has been in the doghouse a bit and Stajan has been a healthy scratch so who knows. I am not saying it will happen but trades don't always happen because of skill set. Sometimes it is pure dollars and cents and term. I highly doubt that trade happens. Montreal would have to sweeten the pot in order to get someone to take Gomez. Maybe Weber and a pick to get rid of him. who knows? Should be interesting in the next few weeks. Hope for a win on Tuesday. Nah, I am feeling positive. 3 wins 0 losses this week.
- Comment on Kaberle? Really??? (2011-12-09 22:00:37)
I don't like this trade. Kaberle is soft and his contract is too long. If he was a UFA at the end of this season I would be ok with it or if it was for far less cash. Panic move that could cause the team some cap issues in the summer. I hope that I am wrong.
- Comment on Canadiens skate in San Jose, fly to L.A., Markov still MIA (2011-12-02 22:31:18)
On a positive yet off topic note. Steve Quailer had 3 assists tonight giving him 14 points in 12 games. Nice to see considering he had such a horrible knee injury. Michael Bournival had 2 assists tonight. Some of the Habs prospects are looking promising. Hopefully JM is not around to see them reach the pros. This Markov situation is quite the gong show. One wonders if he will be back in December. Emelin is looking better and better. Weber has never impressed me and it wouldn't bother me if they traded him. If they lose tomorrow and then to Columbus at home it could get ugly in a big way in the media and amongst those Hab fans in Montreal.

Interesting chapter in Laraque's book about his time in Montreal with Jacques Martin. Andre Roy warned him about he doesn't liek tough guys or how he doesn't communicate very well with his players. One positive coming out of this 3 game road trip might be some cleansing of the crap from this team. One can hope

Awesome powerless play. What is that 0 for 4 tonight and we give up a pp goal. This is sad to watch. I feel bad for you Eastern fans staying up late to watch this crap! what is going to happen tomorrow against San Jose? Yikes!
