It boggles the mind how greedy and hypocritical owners can be. They establish caps for a reason, yet quickly find loopholes around when they want to sign a player they seek at free agency time. Settle this now if you truly care about the fans... The Patrone - Comment on TSN's GM poll: Habs vs. Red Wings in Cup final
Dana, I totally understand what you are saying. Friends of mine think I am crazy when I want to discuss the Habs, or when I get upset when they lose or just when I can't wait to talk about the previous nights Hab victory. They think I'm a fanatic and childish as well. Frequently they'll say, "Does the Habs winning or losing put bread on your plate?"... What kind of comment is that?? Talk about childish. It's obvious they don't understand the concept of loyalty. Whether the Habs win or lose I am immersed in the moment. Can't help it, I have been like this since I started to support the Habs at age eight. You're right that living in T.O. and being a Hab fan makes people react strangely toward me. I can't tell you how many times I get asked "Why do you cheer for the Habs when you live in Toronto"? If I hear that silly comment one more time I think I'm going to go nuts! Frequently I'll respond: "Well I live in Canada and I like to support the Canadiens". (I find that by answering them in the same manner in which they addressed their question makes them realize how stupid their comment was in the first place). I can't believe how similar your experiences and responses are to my own. Yep you are definitely awesome and I wouldn't mind continuing to discuss the Habs with you on a continual basis. All the best Dana! Long live the Habs. - Comment on TSN's GM poll: Habs vs. Red Wings in Cup final
Dana you're awesome! It is so invigorating conversing with someone who is a true HAB fan and understands the passion of the red, white and blue. I agree that Koivu deserves to hoist that cup for all of his efforts, loyalty to the organization and all of his own personal obstacles that he has had to overcome over the years. Isn't that the true measure of a captain? Cheers Dana and Go Habs Go!!!!!!!!!!
