Mike Illitch still owns Little Ceasar.s, correct? Peyton hit on a great plan to help with Mike with his stadium, open more restaurants in Washington State and Colorado! I don't want to see Maurice tonight, I want to see The Rocket!

Saku. Like myself, you ready to move from Calgary, Timo? I don't want to see Maurice tonight, I want to see The Rocket!

I was just looking at that story. It makes little to no sense to me that the NHL is even supposedly contemplating expansion. That discussion was pandered on this site last week, I believe. I look at the current NHL, and marvel how we now revel in having a point per game player! We have accepted that 60 point guys are great. I cannot accept it. Is it because of advanced defensive schemes? Quality of goaltending has gone up that much? Just a watered down product with to many teams and not enough creative players per team? Of these very few options, I would choose the third. I think the NHL should shrink in size to about 24 teams, if not less. To think that Toronto could have two NHL (in name, not quality) teams! Come on, that is just ridiculous! It is bad enough that I have to go to the TSN website more often now, as the Sports Illustrated website has taken a serious turn for the worse (yet something else I have read on here as well), but to have to watch an hour broadcast of highlights dominated by two stinking Toronto hockey teams! The thought is to much to bear. I don't want to see Maurice tonight, I want to see The Rocket!

Let us pray that further expansion does not occur. It is my belief that the league would be much better off with only 24 teams at this point. Of course, Betteman is not the brightest bulb and thinks that the continued revenue increase is because the game is so healthy. I don't buy it at all. The average family cannot go see a game, and many of my friends would never see a game if not for tjckets they receive from their employers. I am sure that corporations see the NHL as a less expensive advertising media, when compared to baseball, football, and basketball. To sum up this trivial nonsense, expansion, bad idea. As for Lushyte and Weise, I think Weise could hold his own. If Lushyte does attack him however, there will be an uproar and the NHL will have no choice to suspend the bum. The intent has already been broadcast. I hate the offseason. Mustering up this comment has been painful. I don't want to see Maurice tonight, I want to see The Rocket!
- Comment on Habs will play eight preseason games in 13 days; Kovalev criticizes Subban (2014-08-19 17:58:24)
DDO, I have to agree. I mean Kovy had some beautiful highlight reel goals, but then that stupid slash in the playoffs that cost us the game in OT. WTF? You know, that one bonehead move is what I recall, and P.K. dismantling the rat is another one I recall. P.K. is a gem, heart and soul guy, Kovy, not so much. Lafleur and what he says has also been mentioned in some posts. I remember reading an article in '94, I believe, in The Hockey News, when it was in a tabloid newspaper form, and Lafleur was saying the Habs should trade Roy. When that trade happened, it set the team back. It's my opinion that it set the team back because Roy was a heart and soul guy. Every team needs one. I believe that is why the Hawks have won two cups, Mr. Toews, and the Pens only one, Mr. Crosby. I don't want to see Maurice tonight, I want to see The Rocket!

Good day gang. Have a look at this 'headlining' news at TSN: http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=459406 Okay, the laffs make all of these player movements, blah, blah. I ask you, what did Bergevin do? He surrounded himself wth a team of people that could help him achieve his goals of putting a winning team on the ice, ie, the horse before the cart, and not vice versa. I really respect Bergevin's intellect and approach to his position. Good luck Laffs, you'll need it! I don't want to see Maurice tonight, I want to see The Rocket!

Matty, gotta agree with you. It's easy to see how people can believe Molson Got involved, after all, it is his business and P.K. is an important asset. However, Molson took time to find Bergevin and has never gave one indication of meddling in things, undermining the extents he went through to find a guy to run the team. Looking at things from a logical perspective, analyzing the situation with all the background information, leads me to think Mr. Todd is using the passion of the Habs faithful to keep himself employed. Twi, I've done the Movember thing for past two years and have raised a few bucks, it';s easier when you sign up on the movember website. Donating is a breeze. It's a good cause and worth the grief from people. This bucket thing, I think it needs to be extended beyond these athletes and there should be some rules. Paul Bissonette has set the bar, that one was crazy! I don't want to see Maurice tonight, I want to see The Rocket!

Sittler, Salming, and Rob Ford! In the end, who freaking cares? I would rather get the over/under on which statue gets the most crap on it in the first week of existence. I don't want to see Maurice tonight, I want to see The Rocket!
- Comment on Subban wasn’t fazed by arbitration hearing with Habs (2014-08-06 18:27:00)
I answered PK, but there is a valid reason. I think Doughty is probably a better thinking defenseman, but PK is a better doing defenseman, particularly the physical aspect. Guess I would use the same argument with a Brian Leetch vs Chris Chelios question. I don't want to see Maurice tonight, I want to see The Rocket!
