You're right that we don't have a magic line like that last year, but I don't think you can conjure up a line like that with one deal. It's lightning in a bottle. Even if we landed Iginla, who's to say he'd find instant chemistry with two of our forwards and make a dominant line? Just look at the Rangers: Nash, Richards, Gaborik = SFA. We've gotten this far with balanced scoring and great team chemistry and that's how we need to find success in the playoffs. - Comment on Habs travel to Philly; Bruins get Jaromir Jagr
Judging by his number, basically a Roman Hamrlik. - Comment on Liveblog: Canadiens romp 4-1, complete season sweep of Carolina
No I was thinking the same thing. We're spoiled with hockey games this year, not to mention wins. Next year it's going to feel like there's never hockey on! - Comment on Liveblog: Canadiens romp 4-1, complete season sweep of Carolina
I love the title of the Luongo article on TSN, "Talking it Up." As in, there goes Mike Gillis again, talking up all the offers he has for Luongo on the table. No really, various ones. Proposals. And activity! - Comment on Liveblog: Canadiens romp 4-1, complete season sweep of Carolina
Thanks all. I really need to learn french. I'll never get to coach this team... - Comment on Liveblog: Canadiens romp 4-1, complete season sweep of Carolina
I'd be all over that trade if the price was fair. Not only for his offence, but for his size. Size, not in the crash and bang sense, but for his strength on his skates and his ability to hold his ground along the wall and in front of the net. - Comment on Liveblog: Canadiens romp 4-1, complete season sweep of Carolina
Ha! I seem to remember Ryder being given lots of nights off. It was a real shame. Every player struggles and goes through slumps. Ryder was never given a chance to break out of his. I've never seen a player treated so terribly, let alone a perennial 30 goal scorer on a star deprived hockey team. Glad he's back and lets hope we can get him signed.
