What a feel good win that was. Something is very satisfying about flippin' the proverbial bird to things such as 'odds' and 'expectations'. Solid, solid win. The team was full value for it too. I can't say enough for how this team took it to the Sens for virtually the full 60 minutes. So impressive, considering the adversity the team faced. I hoping now with a day off before the next game (imagine that?) we can hopefully rest a few bodies and get some in for the next game. I expect the next game to be an even more all out war. Can't wait. Mike Milbury, Don Cherry, and PJ Stock....The three stooges of HNIC.

Relentless pressure by the Blues. I am thoroughly enjoying the game so far. Definitely playoff hockey defined here. Mike Milbury, Don Cherry, and PJ Stock....The three stooges of HNIC.

Doesn't he sound like EXACTLY the type of player the Habs need? He is big, plays a sound two way game, and has offensive upside as well. He is also from Quebec, and we all know how those players are coveted. Commandant, can you speak to his physical play? Does he hit? Can he cause issues for opponents on the forecheck with his play? Is he a perimeter player? Mike Milbury, Don Cherry, and PJ Stock....The three stooges of HNIC.

Wish I could say the same. I have two girls, aged 3 and 4. Their mother has got them brainwashed into leaf fans. She has them referring to the Habs as the "stinky hockey team". Probably a good thing the Habs didn't play the leafs haha. Mike Milbury, Don Cherry, and PJ Stock....The three stooges of HNIC.

I've been hiding in the woodwork for the past few months, just in case no one remembers anything I have posted in the past haha. I have never been able to take part in this site as much as the more frequent contributors do, and they make VERY useful contributions. That said, where the heck do you people get the time haha? I am lucky to have a free hour a day after work, taking care of children, and everything else :-). I am absolutely pumped to be able to enjoy playoff hockey again. I have to say that I was dreading a leafs/habs matchup, and not because I thought the leads would necessarily beat them, but because I don't think I would be able to enjoy the series due to the drama and inevitable back and forth flame fest which would most undoubtedly occur between the two fan bases. So, a Sens/Habs series is fantastic. Subban vs. Karlson. Arguably the two best offensive defencemen in the entire league and also possibly the two most recent Norris winners (if Subbans win it this year). Seeing the type of players they both are, I would not be surprised to see them trying to one up each other all series long. The rookies. Both of these teams are blessed with a wealth of young talent. Gallagher and Conachar are both similar in a variety of ways, and are both in the running for the Calder. Should be a great matchup between these two, not to mention the other young lads at play (Chuckie, Zibenajad), etc. I am also looking forward to two passionate fan bases watching their teams play each other for the first time in recent memory. Can't wait for it to start. I am also going to try to join in the discussion with you fine people as playoffs only happen once a year, and in some cases are over much too quickly. Go Habs Go! First off, I am very happy that PK will be back on the ice in the very near future. Our PP should be as lethal to other teams as kryptonite is to Superman. We can also now share the workload on D, and our top 4 is a nice mix of size, skill, and grit. Very encouraging sign. That said, I have to tip my hat to Marc Bergevin. I think every single move he has made thus far since becoming a GM have been a good ones are in some cases are already paying dividends. I think we have a future star in the front office at the moment. Some posters have mentioned that PK could potentially go to arbitration after this contract and potentially walk as a UFA after that contract. That is a risk, to be sure, but it is three years seasons from now. I truly believe that if he proves himself, the Habs will reward him with the big, long term contract he wants. Both Price and Pacorietty got their own, so there really is no reason to think PK won't either. If he decides to leave, that decision will be purely on him as he will be well compensated by this time (contract wise) if he performs.
