Do you think any of the so-called injured are "rushing" to return to a lost cause? There seems to be a total lack of spirit or desire on the team, on the ice or in the infirmary! Does this team have a chance...not likely. RDS " animateurs" brought up a topic last night and briefly discussed it... This language thing can not bode well for recruiting or trying to get trade offers accepted... I'm sorry but all the hype about this team, veterans and also ran, had the fans believing they could go somewhere... A realistic look and the team and the players, would put them, with the exception of one or two, well down the rating list of 3rd or fourth stringers. The beauty of the faithful is they keep dreaming of a turn around or the possiblity of getting value for these has beens in the trade market! Give your head a good shake and look around the league at the competition, other that Carey Price, is there any GM in his right mind willing to trade for a Habs cast off. Until and unless the Habs start drafting intelligently, chopping the heads off the free loading millionaires, they will continue to wallow in the the cellar... This team can not make the playoffs. At this pouint the lower they go; it may be better for them in the draft, although there is no great magic this year coming out of the JR's. I guess we all should join the chorus of Swing Low, Sweet chariot, comin for te carry me home!!!! I remember the dynasties...
  • Comment on Audio: Blueline swap brings Kaberle in deal for Spacek (2011-12-09 14:19:30)
Lets take a deep breath here..... Media, and fans are all saying.."when Markov gets back""now we have this smoozola of a trade for Kaberle. Well, that was then, this is now. Who says when Markov gets back he will be anything of his old self?? Kaberley we already know from the Bruins and Carolibna deal tht he is past best before date. 2014 is the earliest we can see ourselves getting anything of value for any kind of money! Other GM's must be licking their chops with these assinine deals JG gets hooked into! What kind of credibility in management does it leave the players wiith when they witness these deals? Sorry but wiith Geoff has his head in the sand, lacks managerial skills, or is just playing this for the money game, but the product is getting frayed and it is time to upgrade!!! Thank God I have my memories of when this was a proud and valued franchise! I remember the dynasties...

I will cease to comment here, (no one will notice) until there is a change in coaching! It is obvious even to the most green of fans, that the team is not responding to the coach and his idiosyncracies... Some of his game time decisions are simply off the wall. Players can sense the grasping at straws and the lack of confidense the coach has for the players. Check his reponse to the inquiry re Coel not on pp. Puleeze, where is your brain JM? Halloween would be great to get rid of this dinosauer and start November with Crawford or another qualified coach..A "today" coach not a relic from the past who has no histroy of winning!!! I remember the dynasties...

You can change the deck, but if you have the same dealer, don't expect your hand to be better! A nothing trade to pacify the complaints... You want this team to be better, get a new coach who can motivate and count to five. I agree the multiple line formations adds to confusion and too many men minors! Could there be a communications problem? Once you have a line formed give the guys a chance to get used to playing with each other before you start fiddling with it. I know, I know, the excuse is we want to shake up things....but Darche on the pk. Give me a break...You are either in lala land or you have no clue about the teams strengths and weaknesses. Tell me, 4 on 4 ,how does a guy get left alone in front of Price without any one covering? I'm sorry but you can add all the sugar and spice to the pot but maybe the chef is the problem! Wake up..Mr Molson, there is a limit to the fans tolerance and the players' lack of faith in the coaches plans. They have to say what they do to the media otherwise they are pine juice for the next 20 games. But take a look at the bench during a game, do you see anyone with enthusiasm..??? Sorry but I have never been one to blame the coach when the players are the ones executing the play, but in this instance, a major change of direction is needed. I remember the dynasties...

Without a major shake up, (at management/coach level,) I can not see the Habs doing anything other than what they are. Each loss, parade out a player with the mea culpas of what we' re doing wrong, let the media soak it up and hope the fans swallow it. This is a business, (see Maple Laffs). Put a mediocre bunch together, do the right marketing, get the ole PR going to prop up the image and rake in the bucks! Is there any player (?) who seems to be making an honest effort. (Maybe Price as he is on the Hot seat every night!) Sure, they go along saying hey, it's a long season, don't burn yourself out. The suckers are in the stands no matter what , coast man, coast! What is in the Head office, is not motivated my a desire to win but by the desire for profit. Who do you think is happy with the present team? Management! Until there is a desire to change, all the musings here of our wannabe managers, is just that, musings. I have said it before and repeat it, JM is not the coach for a young team. He epitomises the laissez faire attitude that old pros acquire. A young team needs a motivator, a hungrier coach out to prove he and his team can play... Sorry, but I love my Habs, but this year, I think I like the Als for passion, production and desire! I remember the dynasties...

Trading for Luongo, Good God lets hope that never happens...See where Cam Ward had "words" with Chara? He really is beginning to think he's untouchable.. Why wasn't he penalized for third man in? Agree, the Habs are facing a must win situation to mute the nay sayers. Never has the Gods favored them so well with such an opportunity in Pitts. Fingers crossed and hoping Price comes to play!
