  Couldn't agree more. There are issues with officiating in many major sports, but in NHL hockey the refereeing seems particularly weak. Accountability is a must. How hard can it be, especially with easy access to videos that can demonstrate what is and is not a correct call, to reach a reasonable consistency in how games are called? Maybe those who referee the referrees should be accountable as well.

  Short but sweet and on the money. Habs beat by a much better goalie. The Price, once again, is very wrong. Habs will never go deep on the playoffs,with him. "Overrated" is quite the understatement. Ditto for little David.

  The Norris could end up costing the team an extra million per when the new contract is negotiated. That in turn could mean a huge difference in terms of acquiring free agents, etc.

  All this talk about resting various players, but little mention of Plekanec. To me, his play began to go South around the same time as Markov's slide. He's the kind of player who doesn't complain, will play hurt, etc. Dunno if that's the case, but surely a case can be made for resting him. They have enough good centers to go around...

  As i understand it, Emelin's injury will keep him on the shelf for part of next season. Sure hope I'm wrong.
