It must be easy living your life.....nothing but doom and gloom. Whatever floats your boat. This series has been amazing to watch. The team is overacheiving. Enjoy the ride. They might have won their last game...who cares?!? You gave up after game two....that tells me alot about your own fortitude and character...and I have never met you...... Pathetic..... You know, I really do not understand the "glass half empty" overall feel of this forum as it pertains to team results versus the actual talent the team has at this point in time. 1) We are not even a 500 team without the hitting in the lineup after the Emelin injury going back to last April. 2) In the offseason, we add two players who are big and slow and one player small and past his prime. So one couldn't expect better things based on signings--unless having size to deal with thugs like Orr and McClaren make you sleep better at night. 3) We see a major drop off in scoring from 2 players that were on our top line the past 2 years in Desharnais and Pacioretty. This might be the single biggest reason why we do not have 5 or 6 more points after 20 games. 4) Kid line has been great....goaltending sound and we have our intended defensive pairings in place with 2 or 3 up and comers down in Hamilton. I for one (Considering the schedule the team had) am thinking they are doing OK-- "GIVEN THEIR TALENT LEVEL". Many of you thought we were a bubble team coming into the season...well that's exactly where they are at with a strong %'age of western games behind us (as compared to total games played). Having more wins than requlation losses at this point has us in the mix. They have to address goal scoring...I think the defence and goaltending will continue to keep each game competitive. Address goal scoring...I believe they are a playoff team. Don't address it and it will be an agonizing trip to a 9th-11th place conference finish. Common sense signing....hopefully we can get him back in the ice in December! "The sports page records people's accomplishments, the front page usually records nothing, but man's failures." Earl Warren
