  I was using it as an example only. I meant to point out that despite suffering major injuries in back to back years that there is still hope that Markov can still be an effective player. I don't care who wins as long as Toronto doesn't!

  Okay I understand that you do not like the Markov signing but it is not hurting the team at all. Yes they have to pay him but since is he is under 35 (i believe that is the age) and on the IR means that they do not have to count the money against the cap. So really it was a win win situation. Yes you get him back and if he is out longer it costs you nothing cap wise. Also look up what happened to Serge Savard early in his career. After two very serious leg injuries, he was able to come back and play. He had to change his game a bit but he was still able to be a part of arguably the best blueline combo in the game. I don't care who wins as long as Toronto doesn't!

  I just had a thought and I know it is off topic but what was wondering what the posters thought. Why not put a patch on the uniform to show support for Patches. It could ust be a little one like his number or something like that.
