Cooke is an A-Hole and everyone knows it...except of course the CBC...they decide to feature him and mike him up! Because every young hockey fan out there can really learn from what Cooke has to say on the ice...

Not a bad name to toss out there..except I still don't think money spent on Plekanec would be wise...but Moreau might fool people around here with the family name into thinking he is from chez nous

Why sign Plekanec? I like the guy and he is a very crafty player...but we have a center in his role under contract in Gomez. We do not need two "number 1 goalies" and we do not need two "number 1" centers unless they are different body types.
IMO, Patrick Marleau has to be the #1 priority of this team in the off-season. Woo him, clear spce for him (Hamrlik), and get him under contract. Gomez and Marleau I can live with.
- Comment on Round 1, Game 4: Capitals in command of series
Since so many feel the need to point out that we need to get bigger as a knee jerk reaction to the result in game 3, I am just wondering how much bigger do we need to get?
As big as Vinny Lecavalier and the Lightning?
As big as Eric Staal and the Canes?
As big as Cory Perry and Ryan Getzlaf with the Ducks?
I would just like a standard to be set by the experts because if we are going to trade away all our assets to try to match the success of the teams I mentioned above by getting as big as them, it will be important to be precise in HOW big we need to get.
When the Habs were flying in the 1st period and Varlamov was standing on his head, was it because the Caps were TOO big that they could not slow us down?
I am so confused...

Maybe Boivin compared what Mcguire told him to what others might have shared and decided that Mcguire does not know as much as Mcguire thinks he does.
Name me one other ex-coach in the media who actually wants to get back in the NHL again that has not succeeded? The league rehashes old names over and over again and yet Mcguire can't get himself a gig.
So, we are stuck listening to his talent of pointing out the obvious and bashing the Habs.

Mcguire bashes the Habs because the GM post of the Habs is the job he truly wants. Everything he says about the Habs has undertones of "if I were running this team"...
