Well I don't expect any of the Habs noms to win - and I include MT in that group - which suits me fine, they'll all have incentive to bring their respective games up in 2014. I also think MT did a mediocre job in the playoffs when things got heated, like PK, he still has some learnin' to do when the chips are down. Eric Macramalla does a great job with Eller hit: http://offsidesportsblog.blogspot.ca/ I see Halpern stepping in to Eller's spot, and off we go, not much point in changing much else coming off a 50 SOG performance, just gotta hope #31 sniffs the smelling salts, this is the big leagues, goals like Silfverberg's just can't happen any more. The Habs didn't suck? Wonder what game HIO was watching. 21 SOG v. a dead team with half a dozen new names. Shaky goaltending. Dead PP with no pressure (one fluke goal). Something reeks. Emelin was good, but not Chara-good. Ugh. Loving the Habs since 1965 - Comment on Habs attract 17,000 for Easter Sunday practice
That was an awesome prank on Beaulieu. Love this team. Loving the Habs since 1965 - Comment on Habs send Tinordi and Dumont back to Bulldogs, call up Beaulieu
So I guess this D-man merry-go-round is a deliberate "let's see what we've got" strategy by Bergie et al? Or "let's showcase what we've got for trades"? Not happy with demoting Tinordi, he never looked out of place, love his size and presence back there. Hope they bring him back soon. Loving the Habs since 1965 - Comment on About last night ...
Well all I was able to watch was the NHL.com highlight package, and from where I sat, it looked like the Habs had excellent offensive momentum and were off by a hair/post/great save a dozen times. Columns like today's make you think this team didn't start the night 4th in the NHL in scoring, or that it didn't have nearly 40 shots with ample opportunities from in close. You get nights like that over a season or playoff series. Therrien's right - lots of positives, let's see what happens in beantown, and yeah, 14 minutes for Halpern is a little much, I agree. We have to keep riding the Eller bus, turn him into the no.1 he has the real potential to be. Loving the Habs since 1965 - Comment on Liveblog: Canadiens dump Islanders 5-2
Time for Mike/Berg to take their feet off PK's throat. His postgame interview tonight (PK's) was very telling, he is one pissed off superstar. Habs have to accept that he's like a great quarterback, he will get picked off from time to time, but man, I don't wanna think of where we'd be without him now that Markov's returned to mortal status (or less). I wanna see that smile again, cause if he plays this well miserable ... Loving the Habs since 1965
