Kenopka, Chris Neil, or David Clarkson would be a good addition, adding grit and character. Too bad we couldn't trade Gomez, AK, and Spacek for Brad Richards and sign him long-term. I'd like to see Wiz return.

"Gomez must lead the league in passes to no one"

That's probably the best summary of Gomez's season I've read.

Here are five I would definitely take with me on a road trip:

Bill Evans - Sunday at the Village Vanguard

Pat Metheny Group - Bright Size Life

    Joni Mitchell - Hejira

    Steely Dan - Aja

    Talk Talk - Laughingstock

Kovy was indeed #4. I have no problem with their list, just curious as to what you guys thought of it.

Anyone see TSN's 10 Most Skilled Players of All-Time? In case you haven't here's their list:

    10. Datsyuk  9. Jagr  8. P. Bure  7. D. Savard  6. K. Nilsson  5. G. Perreault  4. Kovalev  3. Gretzky  2. Orr and #1 -- Super Mario.

Who would you add/subtract from that list, or change about the ranking? I'd put Ovechkin in there somewhere, probably at #4 and remove Nilsson. Here are my honourable mentions: Lafleur, Beliveau, Bobby Hull, and Paul Coffey.

And we have 1999's 40th overall pick as our backup goalie.

Absolutely...3 Cups, 3 Norrises, a World Cup winner, superb at both ends of the ice, an excellent leader. I would be surprised if he didn't get in his first year of eligibilty. He was probably one of the top two defensemen of his era, behind only Ray Bourque (and maybe Lidstrom).
