  not sure if you noticed but they finished in 2nd place in the EAstern Conference, which is just a bit better than 15th last year. The reason guys like Armstrong and Boullion were signed- they didn't have enough money based on Gainey's goofs and Gauthier's dumb signings, so they need guys to fill slots since they weren't expected to do squat this year.

  More than half-full, Bergevin and Therrien did a remarkable job of putting this "humpty dumpty" franchise back on the wall of success. And it's only going to get better and better. Out from under a few bad contracts; getting stronger and bigger; kids improving; bringing on a mammoth enforcer to ride shotgun for the kids and skilled players. Hope they send the players out into the summer with a bad taste in their mouths, motivating them to work their arses off this summer to strengthen and prepare for next season's war. This team is on the verge of brilliant play and Stanley Cup success. No doubt about it! Just a matter of when. Keep the faith, hang in there, play lots of great golf this summer everyone and see ya'll in September! Over and out! Doogie xo

  Small and skilled gets beaten up during the playoffs. Remember, this is Gainey's team and Gauthier's team and not Bergevin's team. This is all an audition for bigger, better, faster, hungrier and, the result is going to be one "whoop arse" solid hockey team for a long time. Have patience, I'm thinking good thoughts for this franchise.

  Here's my take on this playoff series, this is CP31's "audition" for Marc Bergevin's long-term playoff strategy. Habs will build and strengthen each and every year. The question is, by season's end, has he passed the audition?
