  There was an interesting article on last nights game in the G & M. It said that the Sens do a lot more hitting when playing at home. The obvious implication is that they can count on the refs helping them out at home.

  Sean Gordon of theglobeandmail.com explained it rather well. Gomez will be assigned to Hamilton (saving the Habs $900,0000 cap space and a roster spot). Gomez will not be reporting to Hamilton though.

  Could someone explain how the roster numbers work. A couple (?) of years ago when the Habs told Laraque to stay home they had to finish the season short one roster spot. Any implications here?

  Monkey see, monkey do. In case no one has mentioned this one, the Regina Pats defeated the Saskatoon Blades last night 1-0. The only goal was a shortie scored as Jordan Weal sped around defenceman Darren Dietz. Is Dietz trying to be Kaberle Light?
