  That players like Gomez and Redden can leave their respective teams after this situation and be rewarded just goes to show how badly the owners are taken advantage of by the player's association and players. That those teams pay full salary and are stuck with the full cap hit this year is hard to understand. At the very least the new signing salaries should come off their former team's cap!
