  I'm surprised at how many people say that these weekend games were a success. Yes we got 3/4 points, but really we should have had 4/4 points. Yet another blown 3rd period lead. That is the difference between a playoff team and a non-playoff team. It really hurts me to say this but we are not a playoff team this year for the following reasons: 1. Too many blown 3rd period leads 2. Inability to score in shootout 3. Average goaltending by price (he needs to be like last year) 4. Sophomore slump by Subban - cant believe people are talking about trading this stud... 5. Lack of secondary/tertiary scoring We`re approach the 1 year anniversary of Gomez`s last Goal. Two months ago we passed the 1 year anniversary of Markov`s last game played. This team lacks direction. All the moves made by Gauthier have been panic moves. He does not respect his peers or the players. He is doing this to save his own arse, which im afraid should be gone by the end of the season. *end of rant*

  being a weak UFA pool this year, Pleks will easily make and some teams may be willing to over pay him up to 6 (ATL). I think Marleau would be a perfect fit here, hes big, strong, great 1st line center and gomez can play with a little less pressure as the 2nd line C.

   

  Sign Marleau for 6m/season, trade Price + 2XKost + 2nd or 3rd rounder to EDM for 1st overall + late draft pick and you got yourself a team!

  The sharks need to inject some new blood into their underacheiving team. Marleau was stripped of the Captiancy last year, and now being a UFA i doubt they will re-sign him. Obviously they would get nothing for trading him so why not swap him for Pleks, who is the only other top line C available this year!

  This may be a little pre-mature... but Pleks didnt have a great playoff.

  Im sure the Sharks are at wits end with a lot of their core and they will probably end up signing some other guys.

  My proposition is to trade Pleks for Marleau. Works out great for both teams, both are UFAs, Marleau is clearly a better player but SJ doesnt want him anymore, Pleks is the next best C out there so it may work out well.

  What do you guys think?
