Markov is so smart defensively. Between that and his vision moving the puck, he's worth everything it took to get him here.

Agreed. Looks like he's just floating out there.

Let's take a second to remember the great Frank Selke. A true ambassador for our game; a pillar among the greats who refused to stop helping those less fortunate than he. We could all learn a thing or two.

What are you replacing the shootout with? A tie? Two OTs first? Or can we kick it playoff style and just keep playing until someone scores? On a side note: I'm slightly embarrassed for the SE division. When the team below you in the standings is about 10 points better (I'm not going to mention who), it says a lot about your division. Perhaps this whole realignment thing will make it less ridiculous.

So what's Bourque? "Torn & Scorned?"

Fingers are crossed, my friend! Here's a question for the broader commentariat: Would there be interest in a Boston-area HIO Summit? I can't be the only fan around these parts, eh? Give me a shout at unpluckedgems (at) gmail.com.

Haha! You're totally right. It's been almost a week since this site had a headline-worthy Habs story.

I really tried to not comment on this post. Couldn't resist anymore after reading through the comments. First, never been a fan of people hiding behind the bible for a social policy decision. I'm a very proud conservative, but when it comes to most social issues, I'm about as liberal as they come. That said, I don't stand with Timmy's conviction, but I don't think we should be vilifying this chicken outlet either. People are free to boycott whatever they want. No qualms there. However, for these politicians to say they won't allow a business to open based on their CEO's personal beliefs is over the line and I'm willing to bet illegal. Simply put, you cannot discriminate against someone's viewpoint. And really, how many if you know what the CEO's are thinking of at your favorite places? This guy made the mistake of thinking the public wouldn't mind. He was wrong. I could care less what McDonalds, Burger King, Five Guys, or Panda Express' corporate officers think. Values like these don't transcend franchised fast food. This is a hockey site. Let's keep the conversation about hockey, the pucks, and maybe some ice girls on slow days. How about that Semin signing? How on earth did he manage a raise? Labor talks? I'll even talk about ribbon dancing. Keep politics out of sports. Please. Oh, and GO HABS!

Our new headline should be "Doan to Visit La Belle Province." I definitely like all the intangibles with this guy. Mix in some production and he's what we wanted and didn't quite get with Gio. Just a tad larger, though.
