  outside of Subban (every year) and Price in 2010 against the bruins, I don't remember the last time I saw a hab actually raise his level of play during the playoffs.

  so people disagree with Melanson but does anybody here actually think Price has been improving?! maybe a bit, not at all by the standards that Gaine and co set for him. he had a great season in 2010-2011. a not bad year in 2011-2012. he started out ok this year but when the team struggled, well oh boy was he the last guy to try and bail them out. his playoff stats are laughable. can he be good? ya sure has he been? we have seen some flashes. should he be better by now?... duh does the team need better D? like hugh hefner needs viagra (that's a yes). but this year i am very disappointed, in a year where the habs played great all season, a high paced, exciting brand of hockey IMO he was the one who prevented us from passing the sens considering we dominated them 4 out of 5 games. Not only was he unable to steal a game, he threw one out the window

  man watching Raask, Quick, Anderson in round 1, Lundqvist... and then having people on this site saying that price is elite is laughable. watch how raask is always in position, not flying out of his net leaving half of it exposed. Not down on his knees early, standing up to the shooter and letting in 1 softy in the whole playoffs. more importantly he does it consistently. the reason the bruins are dominating is because they have players who just refuse to lose and step it up when it matters. the habs have way too many players without the extra gear.
