  It's been such a LONG, LONG time since a Canadiens player won an award. Growing up I always used to think how much none of the Habs players ever get nominated for an award. Thank you Subban! Hoping you're a Hab forever and win the cup here! And thank you Gally!

  I never questioned Gionta's ability to score in the past, he's been one of top goal scorers every year for the Habs, WHEN healthy. BUT.. after two surgeries done on the same location..that too within back-to-back seasons, one would assume his play would deteriorate. Not like he's getting any younger. And for what he brings, his cap hit is huge. Unless he re-signs for 3 M, that's quite a bit for a perimeter player. And I feel, with the Habs in a re-building stage it's time for the young players to shine. Gallagher, Galchenyuk, Eller, Pacioretty and even Desharnais had more points than Gionta in the regular season. Gallagher, Eller and Chucky undoubtedly deserve more ice time. And Gio is not a third line player, thus..someone will have to be shipped.
