Noticed this just now: http://www.hockeybuzz.com/blog/Steven-Hindle/Answering-the-What-to-do-with-Gomez-Question/139/36356 According to Hindle, this "Compliance Buyout Clause" would enable the Habs, through the impending CBA, to buy-out Gomez consequence-free. What are the chances that this is a part of the new CBA? More importantly, could this affect the team's decision this summer to hopefully resign Gorges, Hamrlik AND Wiz if they know Gomez can be bought out with no consequence at the end of this season, and that even though we may not be able to get that top 6 forward this summer, we would have the space freed up from Gomez and Spacek's contracts to still be able to, next summer, resign PK and Price, and even make a move or two?
