- Comment on Liveblog: Canadiens lose a heartbreaker (2014-12-05 23:18:29)
It sure does. Tainted win for Chicago. No Subban penalty call///no goal. That was an invented hook ie... no hook, and the resulting penalty and goal, turned the game

Interesting to note that Martin Brodeur has signed with the Blues for one year. I hope he gets his 12 wins to get to 700!!

I couldn't agree more about the "standing around". I was at the game with the crew from HIO and I was amazed at the times I saw standing still feet, waiting for something to happen. When the puck comes, the guy has to reach for it and then starts skating, instead of receiving a pass when already in motion. It is very easy to cover your opponents when they are standing, waiting. Aside from the loss, this was the most disappointing aspect. I didn't think the Habs deserved this win, for the most part, since they only started to feel the heat and move, in the third period. We used to be known as the team that comes out of the gun flying, right away; nothing like a fast early goal to set the pace!!

PEOPLE SHOULD BE AWARE THAT IAN COBB’S NAME AND PHOTO HAVE BEEN HIJACKED AND ARE BEING USED IN A FRAUDULENT MANNER ON FACEBOOK. HE IS NOT PROMOTING ANY FACEBOOK LOTTERY OR ANYTHING ELSE ( OTHER THAN CANADIENS HOCKEY.) PEOPLE RECEIVING A SUSPECT MESSAGE WOULD DO WELL TO CHECK WITH IAN BEFORE GETTING INVOLVED. HE IS AT 613 968-9807

I live 30 minutes South of Albany NY so do have the Center Ice package. Many Games are blacked out here, on Center Ice , because they say the game is on the NHL Network. I pay 240$(US) for cable/internet/phone here and the cable company does not and will not carry the NHL Network. To counter this, I am obliged to carry another service,Hockey Streams. Their service has improved markedly in the last year or so.It still costs a few bucks but is NEVER blacked out, and I get to see the entire in between periods etc.. Center Ice is bigger bucks. If you have a good connection (fast) to the net, try Hockey Streams first. Some times it is a bit choppy, but the picture quality is really good and you get to see the game. Cheers
- Comment on Rangers, Habs meet in playoffs for first time since 1996 (2014-05-16 16:46:17)
I suspect a little optimistic on the 5 games. I think 6 (as I thought 7 against the Bs.) The Rangers are a very good team and are well coached. The key to this all will be the men in the nets. It will be very interesting and fun to watch. I also think that if we win against the Rangers, we will take the cup, flat out.

After watching quality hockey during the Olympics, I ended up shutting this Mtl/Det game off after the second period, in disgust. I have no further words for this diluted product, that passes for NHL hockey.

My very first hockey game ,ever, in 1952,when I was 8 years old,saw me standing on the seat in the old Montreal Forum with my Father and yelling"Come on Boston", through the very heavy haze of cigarette smoke. My Father wanted to disown me! Since then my geographical logic and my Father's programming, have "kicked in" and I am pulling for the Habs, but I always enjoy these games. Here's to a good clean match and fire-wagon hockey, which is so rare everywhere in the league these days!!
