My immediate reaction was ahhhhh, so sad. Get well Gros Bill. - Comment on Multimedia from Thursday practice
Just like that puke Ribiero when he skated out for his star. Unbelievably on Antichambre, PJ Stock was the only commentator who thought Ribiero was over the top and that he was ridiculing the Habs for trading him. (I can't believe I'm agreeing with PJ) But all 4 French guys on the panel thought he was right to do it, conveniently ignoring the fact that Ribiero embarassed the organization with his theatrics in the Boston game when he lay writhing in agony on the ice and then after the penalty was called, played the next shift. Puke. Stock even told Bergie that if PK had done that, that Bergie would have been all over him - Bergie's reply - C'est pas la meme affaire.. Unreal. - Comment on Welcome home, Mike Ribeiro
Thanks guys. I knew I would get the right answer on this forum. - Comment on Welcome home, Mike Ribeiro
Two things I need help with. First thing is I sent a copy of my comments to Kevin Paul Dupont of the Boston Globe and he responded that according to the NHL guide, page 71, that the Habs only have 23 cups. I sent him some other references that show that the Habs have won 24. Does anyone have a copy of this year's guide to confirm what Dupont said? Secondly, is there a way to find your own old posts? Seems to me we used to be able to do that, but I can't figure out how. Thanks - Comment on Liveblog: The playoff express stalls as Canadiens lose 3-1
BTW, Mr. Headline writer, the only way the Devils/Canadiens will spoil my dinner, is if the Habs lose. - Comment on Liveblog: The playoff express stalls as Canadiens lose 3-1
I just read Kevin Paul Dupont's ridiculous analysis of Habs' fans and how disgracefully we acted in regards to Chara's injury. What a pile of hooey. Count me among the ones who would have cheered when Chara went down. It's called justice/synchronicity. What goes around comes around. If the NHL had suspended the goon for his hit in the first place, maybe we Hab fans would have forgotten all about it (probably not though). Dupont tries to make the case that an injury is different and should not be applauded. He's right. But to expect 18,000 plus fans on the edge of their seats for a Bruins/Hab classic not to celebrate Chara going down is too much to expect. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. The Bruins and their fans, who didn't think Pacioretti was that badly hurt and was faking it, who have used the N word to attack PK Subban, have no right to be indignant over our fans treatment of Chara. And BTW, Mr. Dupont, it is 24 cups, not 23. - Comment on Hal Gill dealt to Nashville (updated with audio)
Just wanted to say THANKS to Hal Gill. A helluva penalty killer and a good guy in the room, but business is business and the Habs made a good deal for themselves. BTW, does anybody remember Terry Harper from the 50's-60's? HG kind of reminds me of Terry.
