  regarding re-signing Michael Ryder: he's the type of player that can succeed into his late 30s because his game was never about speed. Not that his skating is terrible, but it's his ability to pop up when needed, which is why he's such a PP success. I think we should re-sign him cause he can be a good player with managed minutes in the future, but at the same time, after the last 2 seasons he's had, he might be looking for a big pay day that we won't be able to afford. The ball is in his court.

  disagree that Pacioretty is a goal scorer. he said himself he only became a goal scorer when he turned pro, before that he was just a good hockey player. Statistically, at every level, he was never a "goal scorer" until the last 3 years..
