    Great post. Even last year with the young hungry guys we were obviously vulnerable - it showed in the play-offs. This year, except for the addition of Tanguay and Koivu's play, the team seems weaker. Hopefully a frank conversation that mirrors some of your points is going on in BG's office... instead of a cheerleader convention like some people on this board seem to think is warranted. ____________________________________________________________ Why don't we have a defensive coach?     Face reality. It's this high-falutin' fancy-pants idea that we can win "on the scoreboard" by being nice guys while the rest of the league are 'just' playing tough that kills us. The Habs need to wake up to the game as its played TODAY. Energy and toughness alone are half of it - the half they didn't have last night. I agree with the Laraque comments. He seems to think all he has to do is stand around and growl. The one fight I saw him in this year was at best a draw. Who WOULDN'T want him to have punched out Lucic last night?     Agreed. And who is responsible for making that happen? the same guy that has made a lackluster Laffs team into a decent challenger on most nights. The coach.
