Hey, I don't say a whole lot here, but I really feel strongly about this. despite losing, I REALLY liked that the habs were PISSED OFF. Remember the last time a team layed a beat-down like this on us? what happened after that? I hope we can repeat that. No one's ever going to say this team is going to win a battle royal, but they will beat you to the net... OK, so we didn't win that battle either last night, but quite frankly, I thought it was because of a few lucky bounces (and by bounces, i also mean bizarre reffing, like wtf, they weren't going to call the high-sticking double minor on PK until they saw blood, I know linesman are allowed to step in after the play, but that was sucked). CBC kept repeating it, and its only one game. you can win 10-1 and still lose the series.

I just remembered a few months ago when character took that instigator and cost the Bruins the game. Now it cost them the division title!

I don't really care who we play... yeah the leafs would be good for HNIC and make good headlines, and they also might be the weaker of the Ontario teams, but that's not what the playoffs are about. The playoffs are about standing up to whatever team comes between you and the cup, whether its the leafs, sens, bruins, hawks. I trust it will be a good series, because what makes a good series is not the name on the sweaters, its the players behind them.

only issue with that is that there is a specific rule in the NHL rulebook for this. There's actually two things when it comes to the diving/embelleshment. Diving which is where someone touches you and you dive drawing a penalty thats not a penalty. then there's embellesment, where Eller tugs on the jersey, but Chara does a triple pirouette before tumbling to the ice in the big mess. the latter is what you see when the ref calls both. There was indeeed a penalty, and there was indeed an embellesment. Thus both go off and you play 4 on 4 (or whatever the circumstances may dictate).

I don't remember Marchand actually hurting anyone, chara however...

I couldn't decide on the poll question between chara and marchand. eventually i came to the conclusion that marchand is just a talented pest that makes my blood boil over, but Chara is actually a bad person. Funny though, I would have put Julien if I could have, because of how he twists things around to the media to make excuses for his bruins.

I had a thought last night. We signed Halpern to help with faceoffs and penalty kill, but why is that we didn't give Nokia even a chance at that before sending him to the minors? Also, on D, we shouldn't forget we still have Kaberle, for all the money he makes he's still a decent defensemen (albeit overpaid). There's also Weber. I think we'll be fine on D. Anyways, I really really like how we're bringing guys up to give them some NHL experience, so if they're required in the playoffs we'll know who we can count on (Basically all three defensemen were outstanding in my opinion).
