- Comment on Three prospects make World Junior roster, Blunden recalled
Hi, I went to a the second game of the year a couple years back - right after acquiring Gionta, Gomez, and Cammi. We played terribly then won in overtime off a baseball swing by Gio. Needless to say the Buffalonians(?) were not happy. We were all wearing habs gear. On the way out we had peanuts thrown at us and we were somewhat verbally (and borderline physically) intimidated until a guard stepped in. Also, it would seem that in Buffalo, being a Habs fan is equivalent to exchanging sexual favours for money - as my wife learned by the names she was called. Once outside, we passed by what looked like a "trendy" (by Buffalo standards) bar where someone flicked a lit cigarette at us. Classy. Basically- an overtime win against Buffalo in game 2 of 82 is apparently worth being obnoxious about. Which makes them only 250% more tolerant than Philly. It isn't as bad as it sounds. There are some drunk idiot sports fans that make the rest look bad. If they get rowdy, just keep a low profile and you're fine. And check out the Anchor Bar - It's a long walk or a short taxi from the arena. It's where Buffalo wings were first invented and are by far the best wings I've ever had. The beer selection isn't bad either. ...and yes, I'd go back. - Comment on HIO is an app!
Amazing app. I would love to know how many downloads in the first 24 hours, especially on the opening night of our playoffs. - Comment on Quick hits

WHO'S CRAZY IDEA WAS IT TO PLAY THE OILERS ON THE FIRST NIGHT OF HANNUKAH!?!?
Maybe Cammalleri and Halpern conspired to allow a comeback out of respect for the holiday. They probably shared a few too many latkes with their teammates. That's my only possible explanation for such a terrible effort. The oil outlasted us. The 15th team in the West beat the 3rd team in the East. It's absurd! It's like a small group of Israelite rebels defeating the Greek empire! Some might even call the Oilers win tonight "a miracle" (I guess it depends which team you're cheering for).
(Sorry for the double post)

- Comment on Forsberg signs
Montreal's offer for Hossa with the condition that he signs here will definitely be higher than what Ottawa will offer for a rental. - Comment on Audio: Hossa on trade-deadline madness
It IS Wadell's choice, but Hossa can say which team he will be willing to sign with next year, meaning that Atlanta can earn more off conditionals. That puts some (not all) power back to Hossa. A team will give more for a real trade than for a rental. Hossa chooses which he will be thus driving the demand that Wadell chooses from. - Comment on Updated audio: Price gets start vs. Thrashers
Man, only in Montreal (and maybe Toronto)... "Hey, I've got a story for you: The habs are cleaning the press conference room. Go write a story."
