  • Comment on ‘Momentum can change quick,’ Habs coach Therrien says (2014-05-20 19:51:32)
Momentum can change quick, by getting in Lundqvist's kitchen, by winning battles 1on1 in the corners, but not making those long stretch passes that worked vs Boston, so that they don't result in neutral zone TOs. Days off in the playoffs, after a 40 shot performance, k fine, they played better than Gm2 but 40 shots on net, none that really struck fear into the Rangers or Lundqvist, so isn't that a wasted 40 shot performance. I'd be better to see more crash the net play, more chances for rebounds, Rangers D scrambling to find the puck, and maybe maybe an accidental injury to lundqvist. I hope Danny Briere is used more productively, he's been a momentum changer and might spark something in Vanek, if at all possible. Good luck to the boys for Game 3, it's a challenging situation, but if experience is the best teacher than (last yr's vs Ottawa) than we get back in this series one puck battle at time. otw Happy Gilmore itT No one remembers those who play average - PK Subban

Looking forward for a better 60 min effort and churn out a win to make this a series. Vanek = primadona should be reunited back with DD and Pax to get his mojo back. MT should put in Bournival in next game, his speed creates havoc. Still have a shot at this series, but no more OPTIONAL practices, where only 5 guys show up, and the rest are taking f-in therapy days. We're a fast skating team w/Price, w/o Price these guys have to skate circles around them and make Lundqvist's headspin. No one remembers those who play average - PK Subban
  • Comment on Habs’ Price out for rest of Rangers series; Tokarski reported to start Game 2 (Video) (2014-05-19 14:16:26)
Would like nothing more than the Habs to pound the crap out of the Rangers on their way to win the series and then during the series-clincing win, and tell Kreider that's the best you got? Tokarski should get the opportunity, Budaj was supposedly suppose to carry the mantle for the Avalanche once St. Patrick hung them up. But he wasn't that much of a capable starting goaltender, just a good back-up Tokarski's got more agile and moves side to side better, quicker, could frustrate Rangers who like to go for the back-door cycle alot No one remembers those who play average - PK Subban

I"m sorry but what an absolute horse-s**t move by Krieder & Rangers to gain leverage in the series. Speaks volumes about the lack of faith they had winning the series and Lundqvist's ability to challenge us with Price and Habs on top of their game. Pathetic to see Rangers and Kreider not Use rely on their skills, talent, and Character to earn the upper hand in the series. Price being injured was a possibility, but I hope this team is different and learns from last year's playoffs. Can't just rest all the eggs, marbles, whatever on Price to win series, but when he gets injured then we're a no-show and can't compete to win the series (like Ottawa series or be this year's Tampa). MB has to address team need to have a solid capable option to still strike fear into the opponent. Tonight's game is so pivotal on many fronts, our offensive/defensive game w/Tokarski & Budaj and w/0 Price, discipline, speed. Hopefully, Prust & company win this series and lay an a** whooping on Kreider and Rangers to add the exclamation point, then Price comes in ready for the SCF, otw, it's been a valiant run and see ya next year which really blows. If it's gamesmanship, he's not injured as bad and ready for Gm 2, and we're just messing around with the Rangers, that'd be awesome! Rather than "upper-body/lower-body injury or it's a gametime decision" No one remembers those who play average - PK Subban

“accidentally” run Lundqvist skates first at 50mph…lol amen to that, if price is out for the whole series, what a ****y move by Kreider & the Rangers, very Matt Cookish of them. No one remembers those who play average - PK Subban

eventhough he's barely played in this year's playoffs, when counted upon his demeanour wasn't necessarily stabilizing "I got this, go mount a comeback", mind you the team was playing like crap. But wth, realistically he's the next goaler with playoff experience right! No one remembers those who play average - PK Subban

I guess Price isn't gonna be 100% for Gm2, delay in coming out saying "it's not as bad as it looked" is says alot. When Habs faced Tampa and Bishop was out, they played the "Bishop is practicing but not game-ready yet" card, and once we sweeped them, oh he broke/dislocated his elbow or needs surgery. Budaj for Game 2 - I hope that's not the case, and wrong. He's not bad, but would be way better if Price beats Lundqvist than the Budaj. But if Budaj gets us a series win then, great. Gives Price a rest. Hope Price is 100% and just had a minor setback. Habs medical staff do your thing! Hopefully Weise, and Briere are more factors as they've been in the Bolts and Bruins Series. They've done way more than Vanek has given the TOI. No one remembers those who play average - PK Subban
  • Comment on Habs have to be better for next game, Subban says after 7-2 drubbing by Rangers (Video) (2014-05-17 18:55:40)
Sucks that no one had the stones to CRASH LUNDQVIST, when PRICE HAS STOOD TALL for those guys for a ALL 7 GAMES. The fact that they lost today is peanuts, but the way they competed was ridiculously stupid. Sure coming off a highly emotional, series win, guess what Rangers were dealing with a HIGHLY EMOTIONAL SITUATION THEMSELVES, did they stop skating? did they stop crashing the net? did they stop they’re aggressive forecheck and cycle in the offensive zone? Anything less than a series a** whopping of the Rangers would be an embarrasing result! a hard-fought loss unsatisfying but acceptable, but a everyone’s playing like there in lala land is disgusting. Yeah it’s Gm1, is an excuse the Rangers coulda used, but instead they let the media’s hype of us being the favourites and so close to Lord Stanley get to us. We’ve got alot of work to do and our work cut out if we’re to dominate Lundqvist, a guy who had a bad record @ the Bell Centre just got a confidence boost.
