The playoffs are the best test of a team's caliber. This series will do more to help Bergevin and company assess what changes are required to move into contention. This season has been a pleasant surprise after last season but we are seeing more clearly than ever that we are, in fact, too soft to win. Even with a fully fit Eller in the lineup this is still true. And, this will take a few seasons to correct. Oh well, one step closer.

i am cheering for the Sens because I respect them and hate the Bruins. however, i believe that the Sens are better than the Leafs now that they have all but Spezza back in the line up.

habs, does this game matter to you personally? forget about what experts and others may think - does it matter to you as a fan? I think the answer is relevant because something that all those who read and post on this site have in common is passion for this team; its history, tradition and symbolism. it's often irrational but it's real and valid. maybe it's unrealistic to expect mercenaries that are hockey players to share the same passion as you and me, but i do anyway and do not apologize for it. it is in this context i say that this game matters and that we should play to win; for pride! The style in which we win (or at least compete) is as important to me as actually winning. that's why I believe we should dress all our best players for this game.

Where's home, Bill? I have read posts here for a number of years but not often contributed. Your posts are ones I have often appreciated most. Please keep talking sense.
