  I don't know why everyone is all up in arms about PG's inactivity. Trade deadline transactions are usually lopsided and you end up getting shafted. As HabFanSince72 mentions below, we have a bunch of defencemen already and more that are injured. Did we really want to give up a prospect and a draft pick for a defenceman who will probably be a UFA at the end of the season?

  I'd much rather PG waits until the offseason and attempts to shuffle the forwards around a bit. Now if PG doesn't make any moves during the offseason then we can have this conversation. But really, what were we expecting to get now? The biggest catch of the deadline was a player who's pretty much an Andrei Kostitsyn.
