    Ryder was acquired to ditch Cole's contract. Now he's gone too..cap room created. Ryder is one of those single dimension players like Cammy. It's a pretty great dimension when he's on..but he contributes nothing else most nights. And he's deathly slow skating now and the leauge is all about speed. This is going to be a great offseason for the Habs. Lots of draft picks and a GM who actually knows the league and it's players.

    At the rate Mtl mobsters are being gunned down, Carey can just wait it out and suggest Bruno take a nice trip back to Sicily where he'll be "greeted" by long lost friends..lol

    Great post.. I have no idea if Price will ever be a HOF level goalie but i also know its WAY too early to make a judgement on him. Anderson is reaping the benefits of time..he's learned his position well. But it didn't happen overnight. Very few goalies have the skills set, size of Price. If we trade him , we'd be immediately looking for someone LIKE him. Want to spend 10 years searching for a goalie like the Flyers and the Sens? Not me. As the team improves, Price will prove his worth, even if his upside is "very good" instead of "Jacques Plante" I'll take that.

    Lived in Ottawa for 22 years. You have a very small contingent of very intense fans. Most Sens fans I encountered were boring, gov't employee types. Couldn't tell you anyone on the team other than Alfie and Neil and whomever the latest goaltender was. Not the kind of fans who really care the day after a crushing playoff loss. I went to 10-12 games a year just before and during their contending years and found they needed to constantly pump the crowd to "get excited" . If they left it to them, it'd be a tomb most nights.
