I still think some improvement is needed, they cannot win in the playoffs or much more in the regular season playing only desperate hockey, the Bruins owned that third period and eventually the bounces and blocks will go the other way. It was almost a lucky win. "I am guilty of using elipses..."

Cannot remember if it was the first or second period, but the 4th line set up a cross-ice pass for Parros on the right-wing at the top of the faceoff circle...he got a decent shot off and Rask made the save...I was rooting for him to score...the shot just needed a little more oophf. Definitely not a skilled player but he isn't completely lost out there. "I am guilty of using elipses..."

I can honestly say I cannot say anything bad about Orr today...in the middle of the takedown by Parros, Orr had the presence of mind to make sure Parros did not hit his head on the ice again because his head was going for another hard landing in that takedown. Classy move by Orr. "I am guilty of using elipses..."

It was interesting to see Pacioretty on the PK...did ok, I wonder if MT will be putting him out on the PK against teams with iffy PP stats going forward? "I am guilty of using elipses..."

Whoa, whoa, whoa....you mean for once, the Habs are playing a team with "size on defence" issues? You mean to tell me, the story of the Habs being the only small team in the NHL is not true? Imposible! I smell shenanigans. "I am guilty of using elipses..."

I hate to wade in on this topic (especially these days)...but I am not sure how the adjective "French" is supposed to be demeaning...we refer to "English Canadians" all the time...and do French-Canadians and Quebecers speak "French" as the Pur et Dur often state or do they speak "Quebecois" and "French-Canadian" respectively? You know very well, the rest of Canada is always referred to as "English Canada" and we are always told that in Quebec, "on parle francais"...they never say, "ici au Quebec, on parle Quebecois." So "French" as an adjective isn't really derogatory, especially since their roots going way back IS French, but I can see instances where "French guy" could be, especially in a very dismissive way. The Habs getting George Parros means Habs fans can no longer mock the Leafs for having Colton Orr in their lineup. "I am guilty of using elipses..."

Now that Eller was released from hospital...I am waiting for someone to say this is further evidence the injury was embellished...forget what the League, other fans or media say, the team needs to play and win, falling for everyone else's schtick does nothing for the team. The Ring's the thing and if the Habs ever win it, no one can take that away no matter how much they try to denigrate it. "I am guilty of using elipses..."

Hey Mr. Cowan, Mr. Stubbs and Mr. Boone...any chance we can get a playoff prediction article from Mr. Fisher for old time's sake? "I am guilty of using elipses..."
- Comment on Bring on the Senators! (2013-04-28 23:25:09)
At first I was annoyed that The Hockey News already wrote off the Habs by predicting Sens in 7...but given how the Sens have been playing, it is entirely possible...and it stings less since they also said Rangers over the high-flying machine that is the Caps in 7. "I am guilty of using elipses..."
