Grit and character will go a long way in the playoffs. Love having the additions of Mitchell, Flynn and Smith-Pelly on the roster for years to come! Big is better! Yeah baby! "We will win the Cup one day only with Price in the nets "

"Lars Eller deserves a few breaks; let’s hope that happens this spring!" So what you are telling me is that others are going to bust their cojones during the regular season and you are hoping the soft Dane perform his magic as last season? I don't think so, Bergy is too smart to let that happen. I think we have seen the end of Eller come summer time. "We will win the Cup one day only with Price in the nets "

Not mean enough in any professional sports tells me that a player is NOT mentally challenged to play in any sport. Lars is still a little boy playing a man's game. "We will win the Cup one day only with Price in the nets "

I sometimes wonder about this team. Are they "floating" knowing they made the playoffs and will bring their game come playoff time? Someone mentioned why Bourque did so well in the playoffs last year on this post? The reason is simple. He floated during the regular season, so he would not get injured and brought his A game during the playoffs. I am sure we have some on this team (Lars Eller for one). 82 games is a long season, and we have been lucky not being injury riddled on this team. As I have been so negative on this team since Bobby (Bob Gainey, that is) signed the smurfs back in 2009, I voiced my opinion many times on this site saying we needed grit and character, big is better, etc.) and that bad times were headed for this team for 3 or 4 seasons. Well, we are on the right path, we are getting big, we are getting players with grit and character and yes we are going to be a contender, maybe next year but for seasons to come. Let Anaheim, LA or Chicago win he Cup this year, they've earned it with many seasons of grooming their players and smart trades which we are doing for the present and for the future! We are still young but we will be like these teams for many years, a contender season after season! I trust Bergy and Therrien! Looking forward when Eller is gone after this season, the Cheese Danish guy is not mentally focused to play on this team period. "We will win the Cup one day only with Price in the nets "

We obtained an awesome shutdown DMan in Petry who is 6-3 and 200lb. "He is smooth in his own end and on the breakout and skates well and can jump up into the play" according to the hockey scouting report website. I like the trade but can we sign him after this season? He is a UFA next season. "We will win the Cup one day only with Price in the nets "

De La Rose looks great with Eller diminishing in the Habs plans. Looks like Eller days are numbered, I smell a trade in the works. As with Tinordi, the Habs have been more than patient with Eller, and has been a disapointment. "We will win the Cup one day only with Price in the nets "

Pateryn went to University of Michigan for 4 years, got an Education and was mentored by a good coach in Red Berenson. Tinordi took the junior route. So who should be a better player in development? "We will win the Cup one day only with Price in the nets "

What potential? Tinordi has had ample time to showcase whatskills he has when he's been called up all numerous times. This was the year he was supposed to secure a spot in the roster at the start of the season. 5 years, as Boone says is a long time. Paying him $810,000 compared to Pateryn's measly salary of $550,000 tells you the guy is overrated. Everyone wishes he would be like his father Mark in NHL but it will not happen. We have had patience with Tinordi many times in the past 5 years. "We will win the Cup one day only with Price in the nets "

"This June it will be five years since Tinordi was the Canadiens first-round draft choice. He should be a solid blueliner by now." I have to agree with Boone. As much as we wish and hope Tinordi turns int a bona fide NHLer, it will not happen. 5 years is the limit in my opinion. Gosh he is so awkward out there, I cringe when he has the puck. But I like what I see in Pateryn, and he needs more ice team to showcase his skills. "We will win the Cup one day only with Price in the nets "
