We got beat tonight because they believe that it takes three good periods to win a game. We seem to believe in moments as the key to winning a game. The talent got out worked and honestly i'm happy for Grabs. He would never have gotten first line ice time in order to flourish the way he's doing now. Sometimes guys like him get stuck in a situation due to bad timing and fall through the cracks. Hopefully this is the remedy needed for them to perform at the level they're capable of. Don't worry guys it's a long season...we'll be ok. cheers

I agree for the most part Bill, unfortunately i don't see eye to eye with you in regards to games played per season. I think if he played 70-75 games of the sched. in consecutive years then i'd say he's shaken the bad rap. He'll play around what 60 games this year? Before this he's never played more than 42 for a whole season. Someone else mentioned something about his focus and his ability to steal a win from time to time. To me they are good but not elite, brodeur, luongo, kipper(before this year),hasek( in his younger days). These are the "elite" as far as i'm concerned, so when i compare huet to them i put him second tier. After saying all this I will still say that I love this guy and I think he's a perfect fit here. We need a veteran to bring along the young guns who better than him. Bill this may seem obscure but do you remember when we first singed him? Didn't he say he only wanted to play a few years in the nhl then he would return to france satisfied with what he'd done? cheers gohabsgo

great stats man thx, it's unfortunate we couldn't also look at games played per season. That's been on the minus side for him since he signed with us and i would imagine they would remind him of that too.In my opinion we need him...unless they want to sink or swim next year with price/halak.

I agree...they play Halak for the exact reasons already mentioned above, Because of what he did last year. This kid has the ability to play at this level and i believe was a pleasant surprise to habs brass. I don't think anything is crystal clear yet in regards to our goalie situation. My line of thinking is more that if Price does get called up that maybe it's because we've traded one of the other 2. We've been asking it all year long...what would we give up for a star player who can possibly take us even further into the playoffs. I like all 3 goalies for sure but it's wait and see time from here to the deadline. cheers gohabsgo

well I for one AM going to get excited...why wouldn't I? This is what it's all about, chasing a playoff berth and challenging for the division tittle.COMMON GUYS... I put my heart out there, sure it's a risk but that's what we do. They play with passion and I support and cheer the same way. If i can't get excited about this then why am I watching hockey? In the times when they fail for sure I'm devastated but that just makes the success they have that much sweeter. Ask me not to boo them and i'll say no problem, ask me to support them when things are not going well...no problem. Just please i beg you don't ask me to not get excited, i love this team! As for the regulars on here i'm sure you must feel somewhat the same way. Take the risk and put your faith and heart on the line that's what identifies us as the best fans in hockey! Thanks for reading... cheers gohabsgo

well like you and i were saying in another thread, we're now in a possition of strength. Things look better and brighter now then ever before and i think the other stars are taking notice. Bob holds the key it's just a question of wether or not he can find the right door. cheers gohabsgo

ok guys things are starting to heat up on the trade front. RUMORS i've been reading are jokinen, dumont, boyle and possibly campbell. Now i realize that most of this is just hearsay but this is like buying a 6/49 ticket. Dreaming of the potential blockbuster trades the habs could make is so much fun IMO. Anyone of these players could really change how far we'll go in the playoffs. I'm addicted to the rumor sites like a kid to chocolate! Anyway I just thought it was worth mentioning. cheers gohabsgo

Just a thought here...I wanted to see what you guys think. Do you think maybe koivu is starting to have a hard time not being the man. What i mean is he's always been our biggest leader but now other younger guys are stepping up big time. I'm not trying to put him down in anyway but just imagine. You've been considered or at least expected to be the go to guy for most of your nhl career. Now other guys are comming up and taking control...do you maybe start to wonder were you fit in, maybe even doubt yourself a little? Look what happened to Modano...i'm not saying it's the same but it does look similar. Again don't get me wrong, i would love to see Koivu retire a hab after winning a stanley cup with us. I'm a firm believer in loyalty...I just thought it was something worth mentioning. sorry i had to repost this cause i got pushed to page 2...2 finger typing can be slow ;) cheers gohabsgo!
